DJ Max Technika Tune

Let's talk about anything about video games, no matter what platform it is. What is your favorite game? Who is your favorite character? What are the recently released games? What is DLC (downloadable content)? How do I beat this boss? How do I set up my team?

One of the best music franchises on the PSP is making the jump to Sony's next handheld. The Korean-developed DJ Max series will make its Vita debut with DJ Max Technika.

Technika was released in arcades in 2009, and marked a huge departure for the rhythm series. Unlike previous iterations, Technika used a touch screen--undoubtedly, that experience will translate well for the PlayStation Vita version. Intriguingly, developer Pentavision is promising to utilize both the front and rear touch pads.

For those unfamiliar with the DJ Max series, here's a video from Technika, showing off the game's mix of insane button mapping and catchy Asian music:

Another reason why this became the handheld to beat...not even Ossu for the 3DS can top this...

Sana may mga DLCs pa in the near future like added songs and such! :2thumbs:

First announced last September, DJ Max Technika is on its way to PlayStation Vita. Famitsu has a few more details about the arcade to handheld conversion, like it’s coming to Japan sometime in 2012.

DJ Max Technika will use Vita’s touch screen and players will tap on notes as a bar sweeps right and left. A song list has not been announced, but Famitsu confirmed songs from past games in the series will be released as downloadable content.

DJ Max Technika will also be released as part of a limited edition bundle in Japan.

Trailer

Korea's charmingly difficult rhythm game series makes the leap to the PlayStation Vita this Summer with DJMax Technika Tune. Mmmm, touch the music.

I've got a little love affair going with Pentavision's DJMax series, greedily gobbling up the sexy style and smooth music of every version released in North America, and importing whatever else I can find.

North American arcade rats may have seen a version of DJMax Technika cropping up stateside back in 2009. The Vita game should be a little something like that, only much closer and more intimate. Pentavision originally announced a PS Vita port of the game late last year.

It's due out in Korea in June, with an international release TBD. Looks like I'm importing; TBD is too long to wait.
