Metal Gear Solid 4 IS the closure of Snake's story.

I like to think that Snake passes away by natural causes. The poor guy's been through a lot. At least let him die peacefully.

He was pregnant with Solid and Liquid and gave birth to them via Caesarian. Same with how Thee Boss gave birth to Ocelot.
