now mas na hype and na convinced na ako na bumili ng resistance.. 4 on 4 lang yung multiplayer? iniexpect ko is 16 vs. 16.. or at least 12 vs 12.. well bagong devs yata may hawak nito and hindi yung mga devs ng previous CoD releases..

Nihilistic are the developers of COD for Vita, the same guys who developed the Resistance title :banghead:

This!!!!

Pero tulad ng sabi ni pareng Paroks...not worth $50. Yung price na yun eh dahil lang sa CoD label IMHO. I'll wait for a price drop on this.

Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified, the first Call of Duty outing on the Playstation Vita, won't be built around the Black Ops 2 timeline, innovative new multiplayer class system, or weapons, Activision reps told Polygon.

Instead, the game's multiplayer will make use of the perks, weapons, and gameplay style of the original Black Ops. That's in part because the game itself takes place in the 60s, 70s, and 80s and is meant to tell the story of what happened after the original Black Ops in a series of Spec Ops-like single player missions.

During a demo at Gamescom, an Activision rep walked press through a lightning-fast demo of the game's features and then dropped into a 2 vs. 2 match-up on a map called Shattered.Shattered, one of the upcoming game's six multiplayer maps, takes place in a wartorn southeast Asia city, we were told. The game play was fluid and fast with four players, all sitting in the front of the room, rushing around the relatively small map taking each other out.

We saw the shotgun, FAMAS, and AK-47 in action as well as the ability to direct a grenade throw with the use of the Vita's touch screen. Using this new feature, a player can be running or pointing one direction and toss a grenade another. The touch panel is also used for melee attacks and to hold your character's breath while sniping.

The front touch screen is used to activate kill streaks, toss a grenade without aiming and swap weapons. The game will support up to 4 vs. 4 multiplayer matches and multiplayer game modes including free-for-all, team deathmatch, kill confirmed, and some other unannounced classic multiplayer modes, they told us.

The game will also let you create-a-class using the Black Ops method of class creation, not the new Pick 10 method; will include perks, experience for leveling; and even the ability to prestige, they said. While the Nihilistic Software developed game will have a single player mode meant to tell the story of what happened after Black Ops, it will be gameplay more similar to Spec Ops missions than to a full narrative-driven campaign, an Activision rep told Polygon following the demo.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified is due out in November for the Vita.

Activision Product Manager Ryan Scott’s gamescom presentation cut straight to the heart of the matter, starting with the game’s multiplayer offering — a key consideration for any self-respecting CoD title. Multiplayer in Black Ops Declassified supports up to eight players via WiFi across six maps, encompassing essential play modes such as Free for all, Team Deathmatch, and Kill Confirmed, with other “classic Call of Duty modes” promised. Other trademark Call of Duty mechanics such as Create-a-Class, Killstreaks, XP, Perks, and Prestige were all present and accounted for.
Access to the knife, flashbang, and frag grenade that are assigned to L2/R2 or L3/R3 on PS3 are easily accessible on the front touchscreen. To hurl a grenade, you simply drag the grenade icon to the area of the screen where you want to throw it, or hold it to cook the fuse before you lob it. The ability to independently aim your grenade throw while shooting in another direction is a new tactical wrinkle for the series, and one that will surely be leveraged by experienced players. The knife is even quicker to use because you can tap any part of the screen not already assigned to something else to swipe your blade. That’s a highly practical implementation of the touchscreen, as players won’t have to fumble to tap a small icon during a heated CQC encounter, and we found it was quick and responsive.
That leaves sprinting, which is executed by pressing down on the directional pad. The left stick and D-pad are placed closely enough on PS Vita that you can place the tip of your thumb on the D-pad while keeping your left thumb on the left stick for quick recovery. The only use of the rear touchscreen we saw was to hold your breath while peering down the sniper’s scope – not something you’re likely to accidentally trigger.
Create-a-Class is fully supported with custom loadouts and Perks Black Ops: Declassified will also leverage PS Vita’s geo-social “near” functionality with Share-a-Class, enabling players to transmit a character class via WiFi using “near,” and will allow your friends access to load-outs they haven’t yet unlocked through regular progression. Prestige levels are also confirmed.
Single-player content wasn’t shown, though Activision confirmed that it will consist of objective-based missions, along with survival and time trial missions, to keep the experience tuned for mobile play. They’ll be wrapped within an original story taking place between Call of Duty: Black Ops and the forthcoming Black Ops 2. Want to know what happened to Hudson, Mason, and Woods before this fall’s Black Ops 2? You know what to do.
