Hi i am a gamer from Pampanga,
im currently facing a very stressful situation.
My PS3 has a NAT Type 3, so im having difficulties joining game sessions.
I spent maybe an hour or so waiting to find a game to join
My ISP is Globe WiMax and i have a HUAWEI BM622M modem with 1mbps,
i also have a TP-LINK TL-WR340G router. (bought separately)
Things that i have already tried:
Set a static IP for your PS3 and put the router in DMZ mode
Tried enabling UPnP and power cycle my router but the ps3 keeps saying its unavailable
Tried port forwarding and followed EVERY step on portforward.com
but the program they provide always says that my ports are not reachable
Tried contacting customer service but they didn't know what i was talking about
Things that i have not yet tried:
Bridge mode
I've read somewhere that port forwarding was only allowed on DSL and not on WiMax and LTE,
however i also read somewhere that someone who have WiMax managed to get even an OPEN NAT
I recently tried Smart Bro 3G Pocket Wifi because my cousin have one,
and i got NAT 2 without customizing anything on setup.
I'm planning to change my ISP to smart but (correct me if im wrong)
i recently fount out that they are in partnership with PLDT so that's my only choice.
For PLDT users, is it true that it is fast but the connection is really inconsistent ?
I've also read somewhere that their customer service sucks bigtime?
Thanks for those who will take the time to answer

Same tayo anung modem mo?

Hello.
To all my fellow Globe Broadband/DSL subscribers out there, can you you still get NAT type 2?
Since the hacking incident last month, hindi na po ako makakuwa ng magandang WAN IP address from globe.
As we know, Dynamic po ang IP ng Globe DSL by default. If we want a static IP address, we have to pay Php 700+ on top of our monthly fee.
So before, if NAT3 ako after mag boot/reboot ng modem, I just refresh my WAN IP address by disconnecting and reconnecting again and again sa modem page until bigyan ako ng magandang WAN IP address -- which will also give me NAT type 2 sa PS3 and PS4.
Anyone else experiencing the same?
Baka po may nakakaalam ng solution diyan? I don't want to pay an addtional 700+ monthly just to get that good IP.

What I did was disconnect every device from using wifi, restart the modem router (power cycle for 10-30 seconds), tapos una kong patakbuhin yung internet connection test ng PS3.
Deym, 700 pesos for a static ip? hahaha.

I was given a static IP for free by Globelines when I was a subscriber. The reason I got it free is because I complained about the transparent proxy they implemented which is not part of the contract that I made with them when I signed up. They couldn't remove the transparent proxy thus they gave me the static IP since it doesn't go through it. I had it since the Taiwan earthquake a few years ago until I disconnected the service.agent_rhy wrote:^ I even had that option (to pay for a static IP) before kaya lang di ko muna tinuloy. Dagdag gastos sa part ko. Hahaha

Yun nga lang konti ang room/matches na nakikita ko at minsan na-disconnect ako before/during/after the match.

One of my PSN friends told me that static IP is the way to go. I'll try this muna bago ako papalit ng ISP. I've been thinking kasi to have PLDT eh, since my brother gets NAT 2 sa ps4 niya with a PLDT internet connection.
Lord, give me Your heart to have great compassion; Your eyes to see with my heart; Your ears to hear with my heart; Your voice so I can proclaim Your word with boldness!
