Let's talk about anything about video games, no matter what platform it is. What is your favorite game? Who is your favorite character? What are the recently released games? What is DLC (downloadable content)? How do I beat this boss? How do I set up my team?
With the imminent launches of both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S later this month, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 will be playable on these new consoles via backward compatibility, along with the most recent versions of L.A. Noire (including the PlayStation VR version of L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files), and a number of classic Rockstar titles.
If you own a disc-based copy of any backward compatible game, you'll be able to insert that disc directly into your new PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X (excludes PlayStation 5 Digital Edition and Xbox Series S consoles). Meanwhile, digital game owners will have instant access to download any compatible Rockstar Games titles they already have tied to their PlayStation Network or Xbox Live accounts. On PlayStation 5 these will be available from the Your Collection section of your Game Library and on Xbox Series X|S from the Ready to Install section.
The collection of Rockstar Games PlayStation 2 titles currently available on PlayStation 4 from the PlayStation Store will also carry over:
Bully
Grand Theft Auto III
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Manhunt
Max Payne
Red Dead Revolver
The Warriors
OMG! Got an email from DB!
Launch date of PS5 here in the Phils. is Dec. 11. Price is 27990. Although hindi naka indicate kung Physical or digital edition yan. Im guessing this is the price for the physical edition. Mukhang mapapabili ako! hahaha!
I'm guessing preorders will start upon the PS5s release in NA. 27990 is actually not that bad for the standard edition. I was expecting a little higher.

LOLZ, I'm still a bit salty regarding sa "pre-order rush" kahapon. Wala naman talaga ako balak sumubok mag pre order kaya lang sa hirap din makakuha ng piyesa ng PC na gusto ko dahil sa mga scalper at bots, PS5 na "lang" sana muna. But NOPE! Better luck next time na lang. Speaking of building a PC, I'll post some pics soon. Hinihintay ko na lang dumating yung NVME M.2 SSD ko. Yun lang placeholder video card lang muna ako. The low tech kind. Ha ha!

Curious lang. Yun Sony Store dito sa Pinas ay hindi ba nag-offer ng pre-orders?
Sa Sony Store sa SM Mega ko nabili yun PS4 Pro ko.
Walang physical preorders at all in Sony stores, but they did accept pre-orders through the Sony Centre account sa Lazada mall.
WAIT na lang kaya tayo nito? If this is true, I can't wait to play Miles Morales in 4K w/ Ray tracing on @ at least 60 frames/s.
Sony Patent Suggests A Dual GPU PS5 Pro Model Could Be In The Works
A new patent which was filed by Sony this year and found by T3 could suggest that Sony is looking at releasing an even more powerful PS5 Pro model with a dual-GPU inside.
The patent’s abstract reads as follows:
“In a multi-GPU simulation environment, frame buffer management may be implemented by multiple GPUs rendering respective frames of video, or by rendering respective portions of each frame of video. One of the GPUs controls HDMI frame output by virtue of receiving frame information from the other GPU(s) and reading out complete frames through a physically connected HDMI output port. Or, the outputs of the GPUs can be multiplexed together.”
And when delving deeper, you can find that the patent says that this would be a “scalable game console” where “a second GPU communicatively coupled to the first GPU”. The system would then be used for “home console and cloud gaming usage”.
This patent is interesting and could suggest that we might see an extremely high-end PS5 unit at some point in the future, with the two graphics cards likely increasing the price of the console dramatically. The patent also describes how this system could contain more memory and other features.
A PS5 Pro would be stunning to see, especially as the multiple GPUs might create one of the most expensive consoles in a while and further cement the idea that consoles are just becoming PCs. What are your thoughts on the possibility of a PS5 Pro?
