Here are my answers on "Why most Filipinos don't get rich?"...
1. Too much care for family. The mindset of "hindi bali nang naghihirap ako, huwag lang family ko".
2. Too much belief that money is not important. The mindset of "hindi bali nang naghihirap sa pera, basta buo at nagmamahalan ang pamilya."
3. Too much living for others. The mindset of "sila muna bago ako".
Notice that the first 2 words are always "too much".
Nothing is wrong with what I listed as long as it is not too much. I believe that too much of anything is bad. Balance giving/living for others and giving/living for yourself. In fact, you should help yourself first before helping others. About number 2, we should accept the fact money is important. It can't buy happiness but it is still important because there are some awesome life experiences that requires money.

applicable pa rin na too much of everything is bad.

may tinatawag na cycle of dependecy.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_O%27Leary he is worth $400M
EDIT:
just found this
https://www.cnbc.com/2017/11/16/why-sha ... money.html
EDIT #2:
hanggang college lang pala sagot nya.
still iba pa rin sya. kasi yung iba may allowance pa rin kahit graduate na.

As per my Lola (who's already 80 plus old), ganito rin dati daw sa Pinas where when you reach 18, you have to learn to be independent & must leave home..Ewan bakit bigla nabago...

Ewan nasan ang "sense" dito sa pinost ng The Smart Peso (another Peso Sense-like FB group)
I admire the whole ipon challenge but alot of online financial advices (kuno) doesn't really make sense at all.....

TRIGGERED AKO!"Life is too short but whether you travel or not, days will pass away and your travel will just be nothing more than a social media pictures which is a fleeting happiness."

think of peso-sense as a simple life budget system. it means na yung sa iyo pang-gamer budget system or pang-traveller budget system ang kailangan. so no need to be triggered just be pro-active in searching what suits you rather than dwell or complain about peso-NONsense hayaan mong manglait sila luho mo. hindi kasi nila afford.

Kung may gusto sya gawin or makamit like gaming or travel hobbies then magsumikap at mag-ipon.
Sino bang tao ang mag-work just to sustain lang yun sarili nya at wala man lang savings? I think sustaining oneself is already a saving.
Hindi nga lang ako in sa mga latest consoles and games but I still managed to quench my gaming fix.

Middles class earners din kami parehas ni Kumander...Pero she's due to get more now she finally have her PhD degree, DLSU na mismo nagsabi sa kanya she cannot go lower than 30k per month..Not to mention her side projects like panelling for thesis defense, statistics, etc...
As for me, i only have 1 source of income, trabaho nga..Thankfully my Aussie boss gave me a pay raise after 3 years of service with him, and ngayon nakabukod na kami, hati kami ni Kumander sa bayarin, lalo na sa "mortgage" namin sa bahay (15k) per month...I still take care of the utility bills...
Minsan kinakapos pa rin pero i see to it na meron ako naitatabi sa kinikita ko each month..In fact i started the 20.00 per week increment challenge ng Peso Sense, which will possibly amount to 27k by the end of the year...Ang luho ko lang naman are books & action figures & hindi rin naman ako palabili palagi kasi mamumulubi naman ako kung each pay e meron akong bago..I see to it na naiipon ko muna pambili ko kahit umabot pa ng ilang buwan...And to clarify, maka ipon man ako 27k by the end of the year, hindi para sa akin or sa action figures ko yun, hati kami ng 2 boys ko...I'll open them a savings account again & yung mapupunta sa akin e gagamitin ko pambili ng either Switch or smartphone na lang, tutal ayus din naman ang Android gaming...
