Amusing how a comment about the possibilities of a localized Tales of the Abyss for the 3DS would suddenly become "popcorn fuel." Let's backtrack a bit.
This is the initial post:
Khrysler Jerikho wrote:Tales of Symphonia may US version sa GC, pero hindi lumabas yung PS2 version nun. Just sayin'.
You replied:
seven11 wrote:you can get symphonia's sequel for the wii though. (the old cast is there too)
also, i still managed to get my GC disc of the original tales of symphonia from dblitz.
In which I said;
Khrysler Jerikho wrote:Sequel != Port
A remake can be a port but cannot be a sequel.
Just sayin'.
Again, you replied:
seven11 wrote:no.
you're mistaken.
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World is a DIFFERENT game.
it is NOT a remake.
it happers AFTER the events of the GC game, the main protagonist
is different, but lloyd and the others are still there.
'just saying.
Makes me wonder then. Did you even manage to decrypt what I meant in the initial post? It would seem not as if you did, you would not be even be bringing Knight of Ratatosk into the argument. So I guess I'll give you another example. (For the sake of clarity, I guess?)
Tales of Destiny: We have seen the PSone version get released stateside. Did we see Tales of Destiny Full Voice version and Tales of Destiny Director's Cut (both on the PS2) released stateside?
Let me give you another one, probably the best example in the Tales franchise too.
Tales of Phantasia. Out of the numerous remakes and ports Namco did to Phantasia, how many made it's way out of Japan?
I would've added
Tales of Vesperia here, but I'm still hoping the PS3 version still gets to be released in America.
But since you brought in Knight of Ratatosk (or Dawn of the New World, if you prefer) in the fold, let me also bring these out then:
Tales of Destiny 2 and
Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology.
I do hope that the connections are now a bit clearer for you to see then.
PS: I am not the most hardcore Tales fan out there, but I am frustrated with Namco Bandai USA. Just sayin'.
