Bro ayos pa din PS3 mo? Pano ka nagrereflow? Oven pa din? Buti ok pa, yung akin nabubuksan ko pa kaso yun nga ayaw na magplay ng games tska ayaw na magread ng discs. Tska na-lose thread na yung isang screw sa metal plate yung nagdidiin sa heatsinks. Hahaha! Pero nilagyan ko na lang ng pampasikip. Kaso wala din, di ko naman magamit. Ang bilis din mag-on ng fan eh, ittry ko magupdate to 3.0 soon.

i inquired sa CYNET kung nagrerepair sila ng YLOD, oo daw at permanent daw yung fix nya. i asked them kung anung pyesa yung papalitan, they said depends on the broken part. any truth to this mga sir?

Permanent fix? Hahaha wala pa nakakagawa ng Reball dito sa pinas. Baka Reflow lang yan. Mapunta nga shop ng CYNET and ask sila. Baka mamaya kung ano hocus pocus gagawin nila diyan. Magkano naman daw? Sino may number ng CYNET? Tawagan ko nga sila to confirm kung totoo nga na reball ginagawa nila.

2 types kasi yung YLOD.

Type 1. PSU (Power Supply) problem. One case of YLOD is if the power supply of the PS3 is faulty. A replacement will fix YLOD. Malamang eto yung narerepair nila.

Type 2. RSX / Cell chip solder issue. This is the most popular type of YLOD case. Yung solders ng RSX/Cell processor melts and naseseparate sa motherboard due to heat. Only way to get this repaired is a successful "reball". Reballing involves melting ALL the solders on the PS3 motherboard and re-soldering them with new "ball" solders, hence the term "reball".

i saw a video( at youtube of a guy replacing his PSU, and it worked for him..

As far as I know there is no current way to figure out if the PSU is malfunctioning without opening it. The only way to do it is to test another PSU by replacing the one you have. If the PS3 turns on then its the PSU that is at fault. But if not then its more likely the YLOD caused is due to the melted solders on the motherboard.
