well, kung ang developer ay known for releasing gameupdates and dlcs for R1,R2,R3 games all at the same time (Insomniac)... R3 will be the best choice since you can use your own local CreditCard to get the paid DLCs and it is cheaper. Problema kasi hindi lahat ng developers ganun.

So in a sense, the best parin talaga ang R1 since lagi silang up to date... your only worry would be the DLCs..requiring you to have a creditcard with a us local address or a US PSN card

For example i got an Asian Ver. 80gb PS3 wat regions should i buy?
Does it mix with R1 as good performance when u play it in US ver?
So Basically the Question is..

What Region is best prefer for Asian version(china, japan,HK etc..)
Mine is Asian version. Wala namang problem so far.

As for the DLCs, I have Soul Calibur IV (R3) and Ridge Racer 7(R3). Compatible naman ang DLCs from US PSN. Flawless. For instance sa SC4, nag-work naman si Yoda at mga weapons and costumes. Sa RR7 naman, i downloaded all the UFRA events (free ang mga ito), gumana naman lahat. My only problem is hindi ako manalo-nalo :ashamed: Ang bibilis ng kalaban.

I don't know sa ibang games.

As far as i know, games that are regions 2 and 4 ELES/BLES/ECES? (Europe) version are only played with HDTV. My brother was suppose to buy NBA 2k9 in Datablitz until they said it can't played on SDTV. There I asked other shops in Greenhills V-Mall and they agreed with what in Datablitz said. Instead, I picked up Valkyria Chronicles but it's also a Region 2 (Europe) version - in ELES - and they told me I should have HDTV to play it.

To correct someone said Soul Calibur 4 is only for HDTV, maybe it's a Europe version. I picked up a region3 (Asia - BCAS) Soul Calibur 4 and it worked perfectly well in my SDTV.

Another problem I found in Silent Hill: Homecoming (Region1- US - BLUS), it had control registry issues in my PS3 region3 (Asia). You know that PS3 asia's confirm/cancel buttons are O/X. The registry in silent hill 5 US was not customizable, so in your first run of the game you'll get stuck forever.

Anyway, I'm new here. greetings gentlemen and gentleboys.

Games are region free so any region will work on the PS3....

The only issue you must address that certain games like GTAIV or COD4 appear black & white if your TV doesn't support PAL signal which is a not a problem for you since your SDTV is a multisystem.

--------------------

MGS4 r1 r3 pareho lang mapa pag sa SDTV... pero kung gusto nyong crisp image and naka display lahat ng pwedeng i dsplay go for HDTV iba talaga graphics pag sa HDTV and wala kang problema sa kahit anung region pa ng game gusto mong lalaruin wag lang jap/chinese/korean/etc yung language

tyaka hindi totoo TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION ASIAN n ps3 sirain... gaya nga ng sabi ko sa previous post ko lahat ng PS3 sa china ginagawa mapa US/JAP/ASIAN pa yan kaya pareho lang ang quality... wag lang talaga lemon(defective/faulty) ang mabibili mong ps3... try to burn test your new console pag ka bili play it for 12hours or leave it idle/downloading for more than 24hrs para malaman agad kung lemon... kawawa lang electronic bill

Haha so it is true...pero sayang half of the game na ko sa Silent Hill. Regarding sa passcode entries, nag-inquire ako sa gamefaqs.com hanggang sa nastuck na tlaga nung pag-open ng gate nagkakaproblema na talaga.

And yeah it's definitely true, HDTV is undoubtedly the best for PS3. It's like you're missing half of your life/gaming experience without it. (like i am right now) Bibili na rin ako ng HDTV sa month of Feb, just can't decide what's the best brand and how big is right for my room. 32" nalang siguro Toshiba, Sony Bravia, or Panasonic Viera. My friends say panget daw Samsung eh hindi tumatagal and cheap models... I still live with my parents kaya hindi ko pinoproblema electric bill and stuff.lol. 24/7 (meaning everyday) internet, pc, lights, consoles, charging, aircon, freezer, fridge, microwave, turbo, yadda yadda yadda...

Gusto ko US console version kasi parehas tayo ng BD region with them: Region A.
