Before ka tuluyang mag commit sa samsung, I suggest mag conduct ka ng visual comparison ng output nila. Punta ka sa shop kung saan naka display yung mga gusto mong models preferably magkatabi at pareho yung pinapakitang video. Doon mo lang talaga malalaman kung tama decision mo.

Tapos, pag ready ka nang bumili, hwag kang mahiya sa sales - ipa-demo mo sa kanila DVD output, pakabitan mo ng blu ray player, kung yung shop may PS3, ipakabit mo din para makita mo - yun naman talaga yung objective mo e. Yung sa abenson avant sa greenbelt 4 may PS3 na naka kabit sa isang 32" JVC LCD TV na may Sonic the Hedgehog na demo - HDMI yung gamit kaya astig yung output. Kung sa JVC pa lang maganda na output, paano pa kaya sa samsung o sa sony!? I suggest doon ka mag canvass o mag visual inspection. I'm sure papayag sila kasi potential sale ka eh. :)

yup, i-audittion mo yung mga flat panels na gusto mo.. nung bumili nga kame ng HDTV, dinala namin yung Xbox 360 ng barkada ko, since it will be used primarily for gaming.. :) :) :)

Ganito ginawa ko before when I was hunting for an LCD TV.
Abenson sa Robinsons Manila pinagtabi TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION 2 LCD Brands connected to the same source and showing the same image.

Mas-nagustuhan ko TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION kulay and black level ng Brand Y kaya yon ang pinili ko. Brand G ok naman kaso the brand Y is really better lalo na sa skin tone, black level and color intensity. kaya I went for Brand Y.

nang malapit na ako bumili, I brought my own DVD player sa Ansons Pasay Road and compare si Brand G and Brand Y on who handles SD Signal better. buti na lang TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION DVD player ko dalawa ang Composite out kaya I happen to do an A/B Comparison. And I concluded na ok talaga si Brand Y.

sa HD Signal, the difference is not night and day. pero sa SD signal.
Whoa. malinis ang PQ ng Brand Y. TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION isa puro pixels.

2 months akong nag-research and demo to arrive on the brand that I chose.

So sa mga hunters diyan, try to audition as much as you can.
Kung ano sa tingin niyo ang ok, go for that brand.

Guys thanks sobra sa advice nyo i really do appreciate it...sobrang laking investment kse eh especially since im still a student and buying it off my allowance.

@chicken_pomodoro--> oo nga eh may problema nga kse mahiyain ako sobra hehe pero TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION test ko when im ready to buy with everything i can test it with. thanks! btw nagugutom ako sa nick mo hehehe ano yan from cibo?

i have some questions guys

1) shempre mas maganda kung humingi ako ng stock diba tapos un TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION itest ko?

2) yung home theater ba may standard(brands, accessories) na kung ano ksma or iba iba ang kinds na ht per store? ano nga ba ksma sa ht?
pag samsung ba example binili mo lahat ng ksama sa ht samsung din?

3) ay warranty ba from samsung no matter where you buy? kse may nbasa ako sa pdvd na may dead pixels daw sknya tapos nireplace outright ng samsung pero hndi nung store ata na binilhan nya.

4) and i just found out that the life of an lcd tv is a little over 6 1/2 years
so after nun malamang hndi na pwde replace ng samsung diba? hehe daya :twisted:
pero can we replace something to use it again like the panel or something to make it work again? dunno what to replace kse ever since picture tube lang alam ko haha :oops:

5) whats the difference between an S or C panel? kse i read one of cincibearcats posts and medyo mas maganda ata TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION S..

1. yup, basta test mo

2. pare-pareho lang sila ng promo sa FREE HTIB ikaw na bahala mag-upgrade sympre mas magandang HTIB mas mahal ang price, & YES kung anung brand ng LCD TV ganun din yung HTIB mo

3. sa Samsung ang warranty for 3 years, e-mail mo lang yung warranty card then mga Samsung personnel mismo ang pupunta sa house nyo para check ang unit or replace it kung may dead pixel, hassle naman kung ibabalik mo sa store e ang laki nun' i dont know sa Sony

4. 3 years lang ang warranty e, so lugi naman sila kung isosoli after 6 years of using it hahaha, i don't know about the lifespan of 6 years pero malamang at that time laos na mga LCD TV's natin or nakapag-upgrade na tayo hehe

5. i dont about S & C, basta nakikita kung malinaw ang LCD TV sa 1080i ok na ako

Sabi doon sa nabasa ko about LCD TVs, yung nag we-wear out sa kanya ay yung lamp hindi yung panel. Unlike pag plasma na yung panel mismo yung nag dedegrade.

@xbops - nung nag register kasi ako sa pinoypsx, nasa phase akong addicted ako sa chicken pomodoro hehehehe...

Supposedly. You have to check with the manufacturer about that first, though.

BTW...after adjusting some settings...am perfectly happy with my C-Panel S81 Samsung....

I think yang panel difference na iyan mas noticeable sa computer LCD monitors na 22" and below....don't really know if it applies to LCD TV's

im also happy with my 37R81, pero plan ko pa talaga bumili ng isa pa for my room.. hehe :-) :-) :-)
