Nag crash sa kin twice pero naka reload pa naman ako ng game using the auto save files. And speaking of back up, madalas ko gawin to para lang sa game na to lalo na pag nakaka level up ako. I'm using a separate USB file for this.

One more thing about the save file ng game na to, umabot ng 600+ MB ang total file size.

After reloading ok na ulit.

:agree:

Nasa final chapter na ako, or at least I think it's the final chapter.

Anyway, this game's story gets depressing and dark very fast after Altissia. After dragging a blind Ignis through the Marlboro Dungeon eh part of me wanted to stop playing completely. It's an unsavory scene for me. Ignis was, for me, the least liked sa boy band but seeing him struggling is kind of heartbreaking. Damn SE why are you messing with my emotion like this..

I hate and love you, SE.

^Hay naku. ahahaha

To be honest, I did predict that mamamatay si Luna so it was still shocking but madali nagpass yung feeling of loss, yung kay Ignis being blinded like that ako nagulat, because I was expecting Gladio to die and replaced by Iris, that's the plot twist I was bracing for. Ahahaha

Happy New Year guys! langya ang hirap mag farm ng magitek suit v2, nakaka isa pa lang ako 1 out of 65 kills, then ngayon 0/14 so far. Reload method ginagawa ko around north of hammerhead and crit food.

May nabasa ako sa reddit

"FYI, that's not how the drops are handled in FFXV (or almost any other game). While the listed value is shown as a part of a "Whole" (the 95%/5% that you speak of), the calculated values are done in sequence, with the rare drops being resolved first. So for instance take two easy examples of monsters with double loot drops, Zu & Angelus.

Zu has a 75% chance to drop 3x Zu Beaks (Normal Drop), and a 25% chance to drop 1 Zu Tender (Rare Drop). While both of these add up to 100%, that does not mean you will always get a drop. That is because in games like these, multiple drops are handled like so: The game first rolls for the rare item (Tender). If you get the drop, all calculations end. If you do not get the drop, the game rolls for the normal item (Beaks). Sometime you don't get this either, resulting in no drops from the boss.

This is done specifically so drop rate modifiers can be implemented. Taking the 50% boost for example, makes the Zu Tender a 38% chance, and the Zu Beaks a 112% chance. People see the 112% chance, and knowing that people have still gotten a Tender to drop even though they've eaten the Drop Food, they assume the food doesn't work. What is really happening is you are rolling for the Zu Tender at 38% THEN rolling for the Beak at 112% (aka Guaranteed).

This is also why it is recommended to only eat the 50% boost, not the 100% boost when farming for beaks, because the 100% increases the chance for a Tender to 50%, while relatively leaving the percentage for the Beaks unchanged (140%).

With Angelus, another assumption is being made, based on the Guidebook data: "Because Angelus has a 95% drop rate listed for V1, but you can NEVER not get a drop from him, the drops must be a single roll between a unique split of 95% & 5%, which cannot be effected by drop boosters, otherwise you would never get a V2". And while that may sound good on paper, think about it for a second. Why would you assume a programmer would go out of their way to set program something COMPLETELY different from the way the rest of the game works, when the golden standard for loot drop programming still applies?

The far more likely reality of the Angelus situation is this: The guide lists the 95%/5% split as a VISUAL aid to help readers understand Angelus drop rates, while in reality they are 100% for V1 (Normal Loot), and 5% for V2 (Rare Loot). They list the 100% as 95% so as not to confuse initial readers (though you end up with the same confusion while trying to apply drop boosters).

So in the end, upon killing Angelus, the game checks to see if you got a V2 (5% normally, 10% with Papa & Baby Bird), then if you get it, all calculations are ended. If you do not get it, the game checks to see if you got a V1 (100%, guaranteed). You are awarded this, and calculations are ended.

tl;dr: Drop rate calculations are not historically done "all at once". Items are rolled, one at a time, in order of rarity, with calculations stopping on the first successful roll. This is done SPECIFICALY so that Drop Boosting effects can be implemented in game.

And for reference, I ONLY farm with the 100% boost, and have gotten 8 V2's in roughly 77 kills. While this is a relatively small sample (for an alleged 5% drop) it does seem closer to the 10% that would be afforded by the food boost."

ginagawa ko ngayon w/ key of prosperity pero so far ayun 0/14 malas pa rin haha. =(

Based dyan sa article na yan, the TS referred to the official guidebook. That was his first mistake. Remember, the game have been patched twice now (1.02 & 1.03) since launch so there are info in the guidebook that may or may not matter anymore. It's not surprising if SE could have easily nerfed some features considering andaming exploits na naglabasan since the game came out.

In relation to loot drops, swertihan talaga yan.

Pero nung nagreresearch din ako sa ibang board, madami nag testify na kahit wala silang food buffs or reload method nakakakuha sila just after a few attempts. So what does that tell us? it all comes down to luck. Kahit anong breakdown mo sa methodology ng devs on determining the drops, it will still come down to pure luck. Kasi if there's one style that worked for some then how come it don't work for others din di ba?

Ako kasi avid monster hunter gamer ako and surprisingly, may mga similarities ang game na yun sa larong to so hindi iba sa kin yung mga RNG tulag ng ganito. For those who don't know, monster hunter titles always had this system in place called "desire sensor" - it means, the more you want an item to appear (regardless of rarity), the more elusive it will become. Let's say, naghahanap ka ng V2 so the game will recognize that you're after V2 and, more often than not, the game will give you a hard time in obtaining it. To overcome that "desire sensor," you go do other stuff like hunts or questlines and then come back to it later. Wag mo i-grind yan ng sunod sunod kasi mapapagod ka lang.
