Plus, malaki na rin pinagbago ng fighting game scene kasi yung mga games ngayon medyo technical na talaga and takes alot to get used to.

Ang maganda pa pag spectator ka sa mga ganitong tourney is you get to analyze common mistakes that players do so in a way para ka na rin natututo.

Indeed. I for one, get excited kapag footsies ang labanan instead of watching someone get bodied.

I used to competitively play both SF & Tekken way back and kahit noon pa technical na laruin etong dalawang game na to. Kahit anong constant practice mo minsan you're still on the edge when go up against human players, and the only way you can have a decent advantage was to practice at home against a CPU tapos naka-sagad ang difficulty to MAX. Medyo extreme method to pero it can help improve eye & muscle coordination - kumbaga konting sablay mo lang sa reaction speed mo can cost you a round. And seeing replays of the best evo matches proves this.

Kahit di ko kabisado ang best juggles I was able to go toe to toe against the best (and older) players in the south by this practice and kahit nung last ako naglalaro ng fighting games sa arcade 10 years ago kaya ko pa rin manalo kahit konti

^Parehas pala tayo. I stopped playing(competitively) after Alpha 2. Was kinda meh for 3rd strike, and didn't take much notice sa Vanilla. Recently lang ako naglaro ulit around AE2012 update. Bought the game sa PC, and practiced alot against the CPU. I don't know how I'll fare today since puro online multi lang ako.

^I do have USF4 on my pc right now pero I rarely play it kasi old school pa rin style ko, I still couldn't pull off those fancy FADC combos fast enough on keyboard so nganga ako talaga hehe  pero in tekken kaya ko pa makipag tagisan basta one on one ang laban and not TAG battle. And because age was catching up to me, I settled from being a hardcore gamer down to being a scrub as far as the fighting game scene is concerned.

I was still in college ('04) when I saw the famous daigo parry against JW and for the benefit of those who have never seen it, here's an article with the footage of the scene. This is one of the many reasons why evo is an established ground for pros kasi this is where unexpected things become history.

Let's go! I'm as casual as they come. :agree:

That Daigo full parry is still one the best EVO moment for me. Second yung last year dahil Rose player din ako.

haha! i would love to pero my fps dips a bit from my end kasi low end lang machine ko kahit pa naka low din lahat ng settings ko. If only I was still on console baka pwede pa hahah... speaking of the daigo parry, ni-recreate yata nila last year yun pero that time si JW ang nanalo  ewan ko kung totoong laban sila or exhibition match lang.

yup, nakita ko din yung footage, sayang nga lang hindi nanalo si daigo that time pero ang kulit kasi saktong sakto yung eksena haha  one can only imagine how wild the crowd went when that scene first took place years ago, i remember from the original video may sumigaw pa "Go justin!" right before that moment tapos     :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Since malapit na to, I am happy to see my favorites(Daigo, Momochi) on top form. Ang gaganda ng matches nila etong Stunfest. which Daigo won btw.

yeah, looking forward to go see daigo in action again..medyo lay low na ngayon yung tao pero he's still got what it takes to turn a fight around. Goes to show that the guy still got it.
