Final Fantasy Type-0 Characters Level Up While You And Your PSP Sleep

Grinding should be easier in Final Fantasy Type-0. The game’s secret mission feature grants your characters experience points while your PSP is in sleep mode. As long as Final Fantasy Type-0 is loaded and your PSP isn’t out of batteries your Class Zero students will continue to study and gain AP when they level up.


You can use AP to purchase new abilities. Ace can learn Cannon Laser (and not Laser Cannon!) which shoots a beam of light straight forward. The blast of light remains on screen for a few seconds and continues to damage enemies even after Ace moves.

Final Fantasy Type-0 Has Another Main Character
Director shares a few bits just ahead of release.

Square Enix has thus far said that Final Fantasy Type-0 has twelve main characters in addition to Machina and Rem (who are also main characters, but have special standing so they're counted separately). It turns out that rather than twelve, the number is actually thirteen.

Director Hajime Tabata mentions the presence of a thirteenth character in an interview in the latest issue of Square Enix's own Gan Gan comic magazine.

Other points mentioned in the interview include:

The average clear time for the first run through is 40 hours
The game has five summons

sige i'm in for a friendly competion hehehe... co-op is a must siyempre para mas masaya specially if it requires 3 players sakto na tayo nila La Mer hehehe... mag-take turns na lang kayo pede ba yon? hehehe... ako i'd take the archer since ito na character ko sa ffxiv meron ba nakalimutan ko na yung mga classes dito kasi ayaw ko masyadong bisitahin yung site to lessen the possibility of being spoiled hehehe...

The game will have some download content, though. Free items will be offered via connectivity with Square Enix Members. Additionally, the summer clothing that can be unlocked in the game's demo will be available to all Square Enix Members.

Other points mentioned in the Q&A include:

The game can be played through on its first go in 40 hours (Tabata said something similar in the latest Gan Gan). However, you won't get everything in such a short period. Additionally, the game has a "another fight," or another side, that will be shown when you play through a second time. Based off Tabata's wording, this seems to be a sizable component.

Alleviating fears about the game's action elements being difficult, Tabata assured that the difficulty is low for the elements required to reach the ending. They've adjusted the game so that those who only play command-based RPGs and aren't good at action games can get through. Additionally, he noted that because this is an RPG, you can raise your character's level, making combat even easier.
