http://www.1up.com/news/final-fantasy-t ... e-overseasFinal Fantasy Type-0 Could Make it Overseas
What was once Final Fantasy Agito XIII may make it outside of Japan.
The PSP and its games don't traditionally light up the sales charts in the United States, but that doesn't mean Square Enix has ruled out the possibility of bringing Final Fantasy Type-0 outside of Japan.
Development on the game is said to be at around 80%, according to a Famitsu report (as translated by Siliconera). As such, it could end up being delayed out of this summer and into the fall in Japan.
Disappointing as that may be, Tetsuya Nomura indicated that Type-0 could see an overseas release, though it doesn't sound like any final decisions have been made yet or if the U.S. in particular falls into those plans. Additionally, it may be released on PSN in addition to its UMD release, where it'll be sold on two UMDs due to space restrictions.
Type-0, formerly known as Final Fantasy Agito XIII, features 14 playable main characters, though you'll have to choose only three of them to make available when going on a mission.
Other interesting bits from Famitsu's report include the game having 30-40 hours of play time, or as much as 100 for players who are bent on doing absolutely everything. Ad-hoc multiplayer is currently being worked on and was held up by the PSN downtime. And while that 14 characters point mentioned earlier may sound like a lot, that number was as high as 40 at one point. Were that the case, I'm guessing Square Enix may have ended up needing a few more UMDs to fit it all.

So to sum it up...
- The game might be released in Fall 2011 in Japan...
- SE is thinking of releasing it overseas and a downloadable version...
- Delays were due to the attack on PSN, but current focus is on the multiplayer aspect of the game...
- Game has 30-40 hours of play time and 100 hours for those who play the game extensively...
- Development of the game is 80% already...
- The game has 14 main characters but at one point it was 40...
> Weather-related changes are in the game, with strength of weapons, scope of firing range, and summons in their natural element...
> The main characters are in Class Zero but other students from different classes (represented by different color of cloaks) will team up on some missions...
> There apparently is movement cancelling in the game...
> One can hold down buttons to repeat moves instead of pressing the button repeatedly...
> Button assignments are:
Triangle for standard attack
Circle and Square can be assigned to attacks and magic
X for defense and defensive magic
L+D-pad to swap out your character
My reaction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKUOB8MN4Kc

Final Fantasy Type-0 Bumps Chickens, Rocks Theme Song
Square Enix plans to continue its tradition of having mega-popular bands play theme songs for the Final Fantasy series, as we’ve just learned that Japanese super group Bump of Chicken will be rocking the main them of Final Fantasy Type-0 (known as Final Fantasy Rei-Shiki in Japan).
Producer Hajime Tabata went to great lengths to describe the importance of a proper theme song in a game, calling it a “vital component†of a Final Fantasy title. He said he felt like Bump of Chicken could prescribe the pill to cure his ill, and once the band made a demo tape of a new song called “Zero,†he knew he’d struck gold. Glorious, glorious, J-rock gold. Some post-production of course has to be done before the public can sample the song.
Bump of Chicken has been popular in Japan since the mid 1990′s and the group’s songs have appeared in numerous musical arcade games such as Guitar Freaks and Drummania. This won’t be BoC’s first appearance in a video game, as the band’s song “Karma†was used in Namco Bandai’s PS2 RPG Tales of the Abyss. Sample that song here if you like.
Meanwhile, just a few Type-0 screenshots have also made their way out:

http://www.1up.com/news/final-fantasy-t ... an-octoberFinal Fantasy Type-0 Coming to Japan in October
Coming on two UMDs, it'll be pricier than your average PSP game.
has been given a release date. Just a few weeks after we found out it's at about the 80% complete mark, Square Enix has announced the game will be available in Japan on October 13.
As it's a particularly large game for PSP, it'll require two UMDs. That's not the only detail that makes it different than most PSP games -- it'll cost more, too. Whereas the average PSP game goes for 5,040 yen (just under $64 USD) in Japan, Type-0 will cost 7,700 yen (more than $97), according to Andriasang.
As you'd expect, there was no sign of a United States release date. Tetsuya Nomura indicated earlier this month that an overseas release was possible, but no decisions on the subject have been made. More than likely, given the state of the PSP in the U.S. (not to mention JRPGs), the game won't be seen here until it hits the PSP Remaster line on PlayStation 3.
Disappointing as that realization may be, at least we have the video above showing just over seven minutes of off-screen gameplay footage.

Intended to appeal to a Western Audience tapos walang US release. BS.while an English-language release still hasn't been mentioned, director Hajime Tabata has said the game is intended to appeal to a Western audience as well as those who'll be playing in October.
