Do you also play with non-PlayStation devices? Do you enjoy playing as a plumber saving a princess? Or some bald marines? Or maybe you want to play using the touchscreen?

First-party launch titles are expected to include Forza Motorsport 5: Racing Game of the Year, Kinect Sports Rivals, Zoo Tycoon and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, with suggested retail prices ranging from 99 RMB (£9/$16) to 249 RMB (£24/$40).

Microsoft said EA, Ubisoft and 2K are among the major publishers "working to bring their gaming favourites to China", while "thirteen of China's best developers are already working to bring new IP and fan-favourite games to Xbox One, starting with Neverwinter Online from Perfect World and games from Gamebar and Yingpei Games. China lifted a 14-year ban on the sale of foreign game consoles in January, opening up the massive market to the likes of Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo.

Microsoft Devices and Studios corporate vice-president of marketing Yusuf Mehdi said: "We're honoured that Xbox One is the first console approved for sale in China through the Shanghai Free Trade Zone. We're dedicated to earning millions of fans in China by working with BesTV to deliver an all in one games and entertainment experience starting September 23."

Xbox China general manager Enwei Xie added: "We have made significant investments in China to deliver a tailored Xbox One experience for our fans."

Xbox One will also be released in another 26 countries in September. The console was originally due to launch in 21 markets in November 2013, but was delayed in eight.

Sony said in May that it plans to form two joint ventures with Shanghai Oriental Pearl Group to make and sell PlayStation consoles in China.
