Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia announced they will bring PlayStation Vita TV to other Asia regions like Hong Kong and Singapore on January 16, 2014. This tiny console lets owners play PsOne, PSP, and select Vita games on a TV.

PS Vita TV has streaming media apps like Hulu Plus and Tsutaya TV in Japan. So far, no media apps have been announced for users outside Japan, but you can still play God Eater 2 on a big screen.

PlayStation Vita TV with 1GB of internal storage will retail for HK$798 ($103). Sony also has a value pack with a DualShock 3 and 8GB memory card for HK$1,180 ($152).

Sony Changes PSN Policies for PS Vita TV, Allows Registering Three PS Vita Units

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia announced today with a press release that the currently set limit of two PS Vita units that can be registered to a single SEN/PSN account will be upped to three.

The change will be implemented on November the 18th, and it’s due to the fact that with three different PS Vita models (including the PS Vita TV released today), it’s very possible that users may have more than two units and may want to register them all to the same account.

At the moment the press release was sent only by the Japanese side of the company, so there’s no mention on whether the change will apply only to Japanese accounts or to western ones as well.
