YLOD Permanent Fix daw?

Guys, i went yesterday to EYO Virramall, browsing and checking the prices of PS3/PS4 then i was told that just recently they have come up with a solution for Permanent Fix on YLOD units Fat/Slim for P2,500 with lifetime warranty. They will replace not repair a chip on the board daw kaya permanent fix na siya and it will only take 2-3hrs lang. How true is it? Any members that can validate? Thanks!

If it's 2,500 with lifetime warranty, I say go for it.

To be fair meron din mga good experience sa aftersales ni eric. I count myself to be one of them. Over the past decade or so, Had a couple of ps2s, 3 PSPs and one Ps3 repaired there. Ok naman so far
My tip is to deal with eric hi self at sa kanya kayo mismo humngi ng reasonable discount - nagbibigay naman sya whe ever he can.

We brought a YLOD PS3 there. Nasira nila yung PSU.

Wala pa naman ata nag pagawa. sana totoo. Nanghihinayang ako dispose ps3fat, sa bigat kasi parang may halaga pa- heheh.

Di naman siguro. Maigi lang yung sigurado. By the way, that incident happened in 2009 during the time that YLOD PS3s are becoming more frequent.

I got my ylod jailbreak ps3 fat fix at j3000 last mar.23 for 3k and have a 6mos. warranty up to now no signs of my ps3 shutting down even i play 4-5hrs a day...the technician said that they've solve the problem, its not the gpu chip solders but the "filter chips" that got burnt or busted i even saw it when they've dismantled my unit and replaced that chip it only took 1.5hrs to fix.and also said that whatever cooling fan you install the ps3 will overheat in time and Jailbreaked ylod ps3 are more easy to be fixed compared to units that cannot be jailbreaked.I also noticed that the fan is quieter now.its worth the try rather than to buy a brand new ps3 or save ur money for ps4 when it marked down it time

Congrats on the ps3 running smoothly.
Btw, try to stay away from the jailbreal talk as this community supports legit gaming and non-modified consoles.

- these are fixable nowadays due to the intense R&D of console technicians we just found out that common cause of the said issues are not gpu related or bga related but rather failing components on the motherboard which can only be found ona PS3 CECH - A to J and PS3 20XX series...

those parts were removed and were replaced by sony as a revision on PS3 CECH 25XX and CECH 3XXXX series ( reasons whys these models are not prone to YLOD )

- for issues like this and those who want to have it fix for some reasons rather than buying a different model

Ah kaya pala not prone sa YLOD yung mga katulad na PS3 slim unit ko...
