Transfer your account from the PlayStation 3 version
At Sony’s E3 press conference, Square Enix announced Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn would come to PlayStation 4. Today, the publisher has revealed a 2014 release date.
Players who purchase the PlayStation 3 version of the game will be able to “smoothly transition†their game accounts to the PlayStation 4 version.
“The heart of everything we’re working towards is enabling players and their friends to experience their own rich Final Fantasy adventure,†said Naoki Yoshida, producer and director. â€The deeply integrated social capabilities of the PS4 will make it a natural home for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The team and I are thrilled to continue our adventure on the next generation gaming platform, and we hope that you’ll join us!â€
The PlayStation 3 and PC versions of Final Fantasy XIV will launch on August 27.
The beta for the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn begins on 22nd February 2014, Square Enix has announced.
The massively multiplayer online role-playing game launched two months ago on PC and PlayStation 3.
Since that launch, 1.5 million people have registered to play. That's the combined total across North America, Europe, Japan and other PAL territories, and includes registrations for both the PC and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. Of course, that impressive figure relates to registrations, only. It's worth remembering the game comes with a free 30-day trial for new accounts, and subscriptions start at £7.69 a month.
Meanwhile, Square Enix announced the first content update (patch 2.1) will release in December 2013. This includes the player versus player battle arena, new dungeons and player housing.
The World Transfer Service, which lets players transfer their characters to another world, goes live this week.

Free upgrade to PS4 version if you bought the PS3 game. Based on what I read once you upgrade your platform, sa PS4 ka na lang pwede maglaro, hindi na gagana sa PS3.

Actually, if you use the Entry Level subscription fee, $13 lang iyung babayaran mo. Only catch is that you can only make one character per server. Pero may job change system naman, kahit ako naka Entry level lang ako.
Sa mga interested maglaro, I recommend sali kayo sa either Durandal or Tonberry. Durandal andyan iyung Aguila, an FC(guild) of PPS members. Tonberry nandyan ako naglalaro and it's also the JP server with the highest population of english players.
