Namco Bandai has launched the official teaser site for its recently announced Vividred Operation video game adaption for PlayStation 3.

The game is composed of “action parts” and “conversation parts.” The former consists of flashy sky battles, while the latter is composed of dialogue between characters. There are several missions within the main story’s episodes, and the story could branch depending on the results.

A release date for Vividred Operation has not yet been set.

Namco Bandai has released the first high-resolution screenshots of Vividred Operation (title tentative), its upcoming PlayStation 3 game based on the new A-1 anime series.

The images show Akane Isshiki, voiced by Ayane Sakura, a second-year middle school student living with her little sister and grandfather in Izu Oshima. She takes care of the household while her mother is in the hospital. She is a bright and honest character, always energetic and very athletic, but has a fear of heights (which she overcomes in episode one of the anime).

A release date for the PlayStation 3 game has yet to be announced.

Namco Bandai’s upcoming Vividred Operation game for PlayStation 3 is called Vividred Operation: Hyper Intimate Power, the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation reveals.

The download-only game will be released on June 20 in Japan for 5,500 yen. A limited distribution version, “Vivi tto Tenko Sakari Pack,” will be available for 8,500 yen.

But there’s more than one Vividred Operation game for PlayStation 3. The second game is a smaller one about putting mayonnaise on food called Vividred Operation: Akane to Mayo tto Operation. This will be available for 300 yen. Trophies for the title were previously leaked on Exophase.



Consumers who purchase the mini-game will receive a download code for the original weapon “Mayo Kidrang,” a mayonnaise bottle-shaped weapon that can be used in Hyper Intimate Power.

Note: When the trophies first surfaced, we published an article (now removed) claiming the main Vividred Operation game was called Vividred Operation: Akane to Mayo tto Operation. The small trophy amount led some users to believe the full Vividred game would be a small one, possibly bundled with an anime. As revealed by this week’s Dengeki, that was wrong. Akane to Mayto tto Operation is simply a mini-game that will be released alongside the full-sized game Hyper Intimate Power.
