Android games console ito diba na hackable? So good luck na lang sa mga games na lalabas dito and pipiratahin dito like Angry Birds and Cut the Rope..

Maganda iyung concept ng open source console. Hindi mo na kelangan ng Smart TV, ito na gagamitin mo pang net tsaka pang play ng mga mkv movies.

Ayun lang, they're promoting it as easily hackable. Kung ganun, mapipirate agad mga games, sinong mga devs ang gagawa ng games para dito?

android games yung target: 5$ below games, indie games.

for those thinking na dahil hackable, hindi kikita. think about how games on mobile marketplace and steam sells, they sell, alot. kahit easy to pirate mobile and pc games. alot of players play legit still, dito sa US, minority lang ang piracy.

Siguro sa simula, sisikat ang Ouya, pero after about a year or so, mag bbomb to. Konti lang ang devs na gagawa ng laro para sa Ouya, at kahit siguro maraming indie devs na gagawa ng minigames para sa Ouya, parang mas fit ang mga ganung games para sa handheld devices/phones. Matutulad lang siguro 'to sa Phantom at sa EVO Smart. Ganun din yung concepts nila, pero nagfail sila massively. Opinyon ko lang

^Yeah, as I was reading about Ouya, I couldn't help but be reminded of the Phantom, Gizmondo, Nuon etc

But I still think this console has some promise. For one thing, it's being headed by Ed Fries, one of the people who spearheaded the original Xbox. Also, I think Ouya doesn't need to match the big three in order to be successful. Pang niche siya. I see the Ouya being supported by a small but loyal fanbase, and this type of fanbase won't pirate it. Plus, with the $99 price medyo safe lang siya bilhin kahit magflop iyung Ouya.

Also, I'd love to slap all kinds of emulators on this thing. Imagine being able to play NES, Genesis, PS1 maybe even PS2, Xbox and Gamecube games all on one console.

unang una kaya kumikita yung mga indie devs sa iOS/Android/Windows kasi malaki install base nila.. and kaya malaki ang install base nila kasi halos necessity for us yung mga platforms/devices like smartphones, tablets, and PCs.. kung meron ako ng isa sa device na yan bakit pa ako bibili ng Ouya?

kasi mahal mga tablet. yung google nexus nga doble parin yung price dito sa ouya. and di naman ata lahat sanay mag laro sa touch screen. and para din makapag laro ka sa tv. hehe

Maganda nga talaga yung concept. Think smartphone games, which are, kahit anu sabihin natin against it, currently holding domination in the gaming community because of its accessibility to casual gamers, who are majority, na nasa console gaming. Add the fact na puro libre yung games, or at least a trial version (free also).

$99.00 (around P4,500-P5,000) is definitely cheap. Very excited about the capabilities of this. Though, Tegra3 GPU,Quad Core and 1GB RAM, not really sure kung kaya nyan magplay ng mga hardcore games. Well, let's see. Kung open source to, maraming accessories ang pwedeng makasama dito. Its biggest advantage, albeit a double-edge one, is its openness towards creativity.

Here comes the biggest problem about OUYA. Console gamers normally are the hardcore ones, the ones who steer away from casual games or at least, the lowest priority type of games. Contradicting yung target market nila. Again, curious ako sa magiging reception nito.

Let's see next year. Considering na tatapatan pa ata nito yung timeframe ng Wii U release, if I'm not mistaken.

Saan kaya nabibili to? Tignan ko nga yung mga downsides/upsides nyan.
Baka magustohan ko dahil hindi naman lahat ng sinasabi nila ay totoo diba.

Kayulad ng xbox sabi nila sobrang ganda pero nung binili namin. Ang daling masira
At ang gaganda daw nung mga exclusives hindi naman maganda gears of war eh nagustohan ko lang yung halo.

Kasi parang ginaya nila metroid sa gamecube.
