New Super Mario Bros. 2 Hits 3DSes This August
A new side-scrolling Super Mario Bros. game called New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be released for the Nintendo 3DS this August, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced today in Japan.
The game is a follow-up to the Nintendo DS mega-hit New Super Mario Bros. as well as New Super Mario Bros. Wii, both of which were old-school sidescrollers.
The big sequel was revealed during a Japanese video presentation hosted by the Nintendo president. Shortly after the announcement, Nintendo's American twitter feed also ran the news that the game is coming this August, implying it's set for release in North America this summer as well.
The first images shown of the game suggest that New Super Mario Bros. 2 will include the fan-favorite Power Leaf Tanooki Suit power-up from Super Mario Bros. 3. Unlike the racoon-tail Tanooki Suit in last year's Super Mario 3D Land, this throwback power-up will enable players who activate it to make their Raccoon Tail Mario fly.
According to Nintendo's Facebook page, "This all-new, side-scrolling adventure features Mario, Luigi and all your fave characters from the Mario series." Naturally!

solid toh... sana madaming mini games ulet tulad nung 1..
Yung 1 nito di ko na binenta kase ang daming mini games, parang 20 in 1...

...pero parang di na upgrade yung graphics no? parang part 1 parin. yun nga lang 3D narin siguro to.

Wala yata bro...the last one that had mini games was the one for the DS eh.
I'm still waiting for a good deal 'til I get this. Di naman nagmamadali dahil andami pa din magaganda lalaruin sa 3DS ngayon.

Confirmed na na no mini games uli! Just got my copy kanina ($30 was not bad for a like new preowned copy since kasama pa naman yung club nintendo points). Finished 2 stages pa lang pero it's classic Mario fun so far! Well worth it!

Para sakin naman namiss ko yung pagka 2D platformer ng Mario games kaya good move na meron silang nilabas na 3D platformer and 2D platformer talaga.

ako rin prefer ko pa rin ang 2d mario. nahihilo ako sa 3d na mario e.
kaso ang gulo nitong 2d-3d thingy. pag maglalaro ka ng new super mario bros 2, 2d platformer. kaso pag naka-on ang 3d mode, so mario na 2d in 3d.

Finally Star World na! Hehe...this game took me a long time dahil busy sa ibang gawain pero enjoy siya! And yup, mas mahirap nga ata siya kaysa sa 3D Land. Btw, playable din ba si Luigi?
