Ayan po yun kaya nasabi ko na baliktad. pero kanya kanyang setup naman yan. Basta hindi maYLOD yung unit natin at maalagaan ng husto ok na. Yun ang mahalaga.

pag baliktad, it sucks hot air from the ps3. pag nakalagay naman ng upright it sucks cool air papunta sa ps3 kaya nga cooling pad tawag. hahaha pero pareho lang din naman yun. ayoko lang kasi nakaupright kasi nakadikit parin sa plastic yung ps3 pag ganun. nakadikit parin siya sa cooling pad. pag nakabaliktad mas may free space kasi sa mga paa lang siya ng cooling stang nakapatong.

pwede mo rin gawin pagbaliktarin mo yung ginawa ko. ps3 then apat na chair shoes (yung rubber) bago yung upright na cooling pad.

Buy kayo ng exhaust fan na square..pang pc na puwede tumayo mag isa..kabitan ng sariling power supply..like variable voltage adaptor na nabibili sa mga ACE hardware..or yung USB wall charger sa cdr king p80..

Eto yung paliwanag mga paps kung para saan yun..

May exhaust sa likod ang ps3 di ba..yung mainit lagi..itayo niyo yung HOMEMADE exhaust sa mismong exhaust ng ps3..that way it helps to get the hot air out..

Ganitong HM style mix with XMB style for cooling down..tapos turn off ps3 pero iwan pa rin ON si HM exhaust fan will get the hot air out nicely..

Add pa yung laptop cooler na palayo sa ps3 yung hangin..kasi natatandaan ko may ps3 na parang may exhaust na pahaba sa bottom side..big help din yan..

^Thanks for the suggestion bro. Actually, iniisip ko nga ilagay yung Hanabishi fan sa likod ng PS3, pero nakatalikod para higop nya ang mainit na hangin sa loob ng PS3 and buga palabas.

May nakita ako sa Octagon PC Store kagabi na exhaust fan na hinihigop ang init and blow nya palabas. Gawa ng Genius and cost only P500.

OK na yung set up sir, basta elevate pa ng konti yung cooling fan, kasi pag nagkasalubong ang malamig na hangin from the aircon to the heat coming out from the PS3 maaring mag ka moisture dun sa unit which na makakasira dito. (wala akong scientific proof pero ganun ang napapansin ko minsan)

i would like to ask something technical about Notebook Cooling Pads or cooling your laptops..

Most cooling pads i'm seeing today have the air go up to the batteries of the laptop. So that makes an upward cooling airflow.

But someone told me that they prefer to make airflow go downwards (exhaust) rather than upward.

So what is the BEST WAY to avoid and eliminate overheating?
Blow-Up the hot air or Exhaust it away? Foolproof that is

Sounds like i'm asking a question related to Aero or Thermodynamics hahaha

Anyway, the reason i asked it because i'm planning to rig a cooling pad for my PS3.. I don't know which is better between Blowing Up or Exhausting Out the hot/warm air that Laptops/PS3's are generating..

Sabi nila same lang daw..yung butterfly cdr cooling pad ko pa-exhaust yung style..downwards yung airflow..away from ps3..

Mas maganda kung may separate power yung cooling pad..para off na ps3 umaandar pa yung pad..yun ang best..meron sa cdr king usb charger 80p yata..

Yung usb charger ng samsung ginamit ko..

thanks sa reply mga sir.. kung mystic 1 kukunin ko, babaligtarin ko na lang siguro.. Pero pag nahirapan ako maghanap, baka pumatol ako sa brand ng Deep Cool.

Problem sa Deep Cool medjo mahal saka di basta basta pwede baligtarin yung buong pad as per designs ng Deep Cool. Kakalsuhan lang talaga. I'm thinking if pwede baligtarin yung rotation mechanism ng fans of Deep Cool cooling pads imbes na pabuga, eh pahigop. Pwede ba yun? babaligtarin yung postive at negative wire nun sa soldering?

Sino expert sa electronics dito mga sirs?

Di tlaga ganun kabilis ang ikot nyan sir, ang importante naman diyan is nakaelevate ang unit mo. yung base kasi ng ps3 pinaka nagraradiate ng heat, kumbaga yun ang hotspot na kailangan ng airflow.

I have a first generation PS3 fat 80GB Silver that I just resurrected from YLOD using reflow but now the clamp is not applying enough pressure on the heatsink to mate with the RSX and Cell processors correctly. I already tried bending the clamps further to no avail. Right now, the PS3 gives the "console too hot" message after a minute or two. Does anyone know if there are copper shims being sold locally? I am also thinking of adding washers to the clamp to further increase the pressure.

Ehehe ganito na set up ko noon for past 2 years. I have 2 88 MM akasa fan red led light na nakabit sa lumang generic PSU. Laking tulong sa pag baba ng init.

feeling ko medjo mabilis yata yung Fan ng cooling pad (hindi Mystic 1 model)na available sa Silicon Valley.. Almost identical sila nung box nung Mystic Cooling Pad na binebenta sa FireWyre. I said "Almost" kasi may pagkakaiba sa label sa top right corner ng box though pareho yung brand name. Ewan ko ba.. 300php sa Silicon Valley tapos sa Firewyre 255php.

Yung sa Silicon Valley yung model ng cooling pad eh dalawang 140mm Fan color red then yung base nya is may transparent saka translucent na gray. Mukhang matibay kasi may thickness yung plastic. Yung Mystic sa Firewyre medjo CD-R King plastic quality..

Boss pano magpa rewind ng motor ng laptop cooler? Saan? Balak ko din sana para mas lumakas yung airflow. Magandang idea yan kung possible.

Mga boss, sir, ma'am, may sumusubok na ba dito na mag hardware mod ng PS3 units (like replacing the thermal paste, modifying the cooling system inside, putting to PC case, etc) Pero hindi po jinijailbreak ahh, kasi ang plano ko po sana pag napaso na yung warranty niya papalitan ko yung thermal paste sa loob then total disassembly then lalagyan ng mga butas yung ilalim na cover (since lagi naman siyang naka horizontal position) para mas lumabas yung init mula sa loob, BTW meron akong CECH-3001B na unit.

Mas okay bro pag may gamit ka na AVR or UPS, para dun nakasaksak yung PS3 mo para hindi "saksak-bunot"
IMO, Kahit lagpas ng 3hours okay lang yan, ako 5-6 hrs tapos pahinga ng 30mins (10 mins stand by) nakatapat mini electric fan sa gilid habang nag lalaro.

Need your two cents on this:

My PS3 is showing symptoms of BDL then YLOD lately.

Is this possible? Before kasi Nahihirapan na magbasa ng Disc. I mean ilang insert before it can play a game - which i think is BDL.

Lately, after i loaded the game, namamatay na siya but after 3-5 tries, ok na ulit - is this YLOD?

Question:

If this is just BDL - is there a solution? cost estimate please.

If this is YLOD then its useless to repair BDL, right?

If i get another PS3 unit, is it better to download games from PSN instead of using disc? Or is this the way not to be affected by BDL?

If i downloaded games, will i still be on the risk of YLOD?

Sorry for the many questions. Its just that this is my 2nd unit of PS3. I just want to enjoy playing PS3 and not be bothered by these problems.

Im also thinking of getting a 360. Which console ba has the long span of life? I had 360 before (launch model)and the unit broke down in less than a year by the dreaded RLOD. Is this still an issue with the unit?

Need your professional advise since value for money + entertainment factor ang kailangan ko.
