Nadedemonyo na ako sa skybroadband at nag-iisip ako kung lilipat ako sa wi-tribe. so gusto ko lang itanong kung:

a.) ok ba yung download speeds nung 2mbps na plan?
b.) nagcacap ba sila ng torrent speeds? napaka-vague kasi nung fair usage policy nila
c.) ok ba sya pang ps3 gaming?

Grabe ang higpit nila pagdating sa paghihingi ng requirements, underqualified kasi ako, student kasi.
4 bars naman, sampaloc area. Sobrang bihira naman ang lag. Enjoy na din!

wala eh, depende sa location yun eh, sa akin nga nasa 110-120ms yung ping,
pero nung dun sa main branch ng wi-tribe, yung 2mb na laptop dun, nasa 50-60ms lang

Guys sino naglalaro ng MW3 or MW2 or KZ3 gamit ang WiTribe? Maganda ba connection at hindi lag?
Ano ang NAT ng Tribe?

@dummydecoy- ako naglalaro ako ng mw3, mw2, kz3 (dati), bfbc2, bf3 no lag naman ako. sa mw2 and mw3 nat type open ako

Bago akong subscriber. Got tired of the pldt dsl na minsan walang net or super bagal.

Passed by the witribe store sa alabang and naenganyo ako 998 plan nila. I was given a 24 hour period to test the unit which had a built in wifi router. Ping is 50-60 ms. Speed at .88mbps. Di pa sya totally activated and I suppose bibilis pa sya pag tumawag yong agent later.

My error was that I did not research about this ISP and right now I'm reading a lot of negative press about the ISP particularly related to capping.

I guess I'll just play it by ear kasi no lockdown plan naman eh. I'm not sure about the fair usage policy. I'm very light with DLs but pretty heavy on gaming. If they cap me before a month. I don't think this ISP is for me.

@indiosbravos - i use my wi tribe exclusively for my PS3 only. When they had 6g per month policy before, i was just at 2.3g per month only i think. No downloading of games din yun. So if almost for ps3 gaming, am sure you wont be minding the fair usage policy being imposed.

Quick question. When you guys conduct a speed test. You do set wi-tribe makati as the server, right? Because with this server i normally get a good ping and download speed... 60-70 ms and 1.5 mbps. However, if i change the server to lets say pldt it gives me a 400ms ping and 200 kbps download.

I kind of experiencing really lagged connection lately (last 4 days) and i dont know if its the isp or my modem.

I guess im not very lucky with wi-tribe. My connection sucks at night. Its pretty slow and the ping is inconsistent. I even have problems connecting to the psn at times. I can only play online in the morning. Kind of weird because the first few weeks, connection was great 24/7. Now, i can only surf at night or check the forums.

Luckily, no fup yet.

Yup, mejo misinformed mga nagsspeedtest.net dito tungkol sa ping. 90ms dont mean squat kung sa malalapit na server ng sariling isp ang pinagtetestan niyo, di naman jan dumadaan connectionn ng mga kalaro niyo sa mga online games eh. Depende sa location, pldt ang pinakamaganda dahil sa dami ng subscribers nito, meaning mas malaki ang chance na marami kayong makakalarong pinoy via auto matchmaking games like mw3. Mababa din ang ping ng pldt (around 120-150ms) last time i checked kung magpipingtest ka sa mga servers sa japan. Bayantel is sh!t at 400ms when pinging japan. Badtrip sa lahat, mataas pa ang latency kung ibang isp sa pinas ang ipiping, parang wala kasing interconnection agreement mga isp dito eh, kaya kahit kapitbahay mo kalaro mo, kung iba naman isp niya sa yo, lag na lag yan.

binalik ko na yung witribe ko at naghihintay iconnect yung pldt, 2-3weeks daw talaga yun?
sana ok yung speed, Plan 1299 lang kinuha ko..
natyempohan ko yung libreng modem at installation sa megamall nung sunday, hehehe
