Oo amp. astig nga eh dami nilang pwedeng gawin sa ac2. tweak lang nila siguro yung combat ng konte haha.

I'm doubtful this will actually be AC3. It seems too soon since AC2 is still selling quite well~

I agree though that the multiplayer will likely equal coop as the battle system will have to be modified for competitive multiplayer.

Sana hindi sa AC3 mismo yung may multiplayer.

IMO some games should remain single player only, and for me AC should be one of those games.

Ubisoft has said that assassination multiplayer will be included in the new Assassin’s Creed game.

Ubisoft said in its Q3 investors call today that the game would see Ezio striking the Templars at their headquarters in Rome.

It would also include what Ubi called “innovative” multiplayer, where players can participate in an assassination mode against friends online.

Further information would not be revealed on the multiplayer, but Ubi said that the general rule for new releases is that each will contain cooperative multiplayer and as far as Assassin’s Creed was concerned, Ubi would not comment on whether it would be a yearly title, but that it will continue to support the franchise.

Last month, Ubisoft said a new AC game was on the way with mutliplayer.

After initial confusion, the firm confirmed to us the game does not tie into the recent DLC for Assassin’s Creed II.

Ubi then said ACII’s Ezio would return to the title as protagonist after it was revealed the title was a continuation of the second game’s plot.

Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot also said today that Assassin’s Creed II has now sold more than 8 million units.

While Ubisoft is busy teasing players via Facebook, we've got anonymous tipsters sending us images of the placeholder art for something called Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Ubisoft now confirms that this is indeed the next Assassin's Creed title.

Between this alleged placeholder art and a recent website registration for AssassinsCreedBrotherhood.com, we're pretty sure we've nailed down the name for the next game in the Assassin's Creed series. The box art features our friend Ezio, surrounded by a group of unknown asaassins, presumably representing the brotherhood that appears in the title, as well as the blurb on the back cover.

"Live and breathe as Ezio, now a legendary master assassin, in his struggle against the Templar order. Lead your own brotherhood of Assassins and strike at the heart of the enemy. Rome.

"And for the first time, take part in an innovative multiplayer layer allowing you to embody an assassin of your choosing and define their killing style.

"A never-before-seen online multiplayer experience.

"Lead your own brotherhood of assassins, as Ezio, and conquer Rome."

The art also features a sticker for a preorder exclusive multiplayer character, available only through GameStop. Who wants to bet its Altair?

The information on the box jibes with what we've heard so far about the next Assassin's Creed game, and the name certainly fits. Looks like it's coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Hopefully that last one will do a better job with DRM than Assassin's Creed II did.

Of course, without official confirmation by Ubisoft, this is still filed under rumor, but it's a damn good one.

We've contacted Ubisoft for comment, and will update this post should they respond.

Update: An Ubisoft representative has responded, confirming the image as real.

"Ubisoft confirms the authenticity of this image and will provide more information next week."

hahaha, I hope the single-player story if ever ties together AC2 and what would be AC3, just so the experience won't be a waste. hoping its not just an excuse to release an Assassin's Creed game that features multiplayer.

and look, from that placeholder art you could see the different classes na, you have what would obviously be the medic, then a brute/heavy weapons guy, a thief-type character that looks like La Volpe, a courtesan that looks like she could fight and then a priest.

I wonder if this is what Desmond is navigating while they escape to the new hideout.
