According to Joystiq, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners who have a copy of World Tour will be able to download a free Guitar Hero 5 update that activates DLC backwards compatibility. Afterward, they will need to purchase what Activision representatives say will be a "nominal re-licensing fee" and input a 20-digit code from the back of the games' manual.
May 20 Digit Code, mukhang one time export lang to. Parang yung bonus DLC ng RB2. So hindi na tayo pwede mag export and then sell...

im pretty happy with rockband. they make your investment worthwhile.
besides, most of the songs in GH are already in rockband.
So ako, rockband nako all the way. Customer oriented sales sila eh, unlike GH which is obviously just there for the cash.
Plus Rockband is powered by EA and MTV. you cant go wrong with that combo

Guitar Hero has some songs na wala talaga sa Rock Band, that I really want to play.
Tsaka overall, mas maganda yung presentation ng Guitar Hero. I've been playing GH since PS2 days, so may soft spot na sila Casey Lynch, Pandora, Axel Steel, Johnny Napalm etc. sa akin. Mas maganda rin yun mga venues, may mga special effects pa kapag encore songs.
Not to mention may story mode siya. Nakakaaliw yung mga MTV style cut scenes.

It seems like Activision really wants to ensure that Guitar Hero 5 makes a splash at retail -- so much so that they're throwing in an extra game. The company outlined a special offer today to include a mail-in voucher for Guitar Hero Van Halen with copies of Guitar Hero 5. The voucher can be obtained by pre-ordering or buying a marked GH5 box in the month of September. Purchasers will have to mail in a letter with their name, address, and platform of choice, along with the game code, sticker, and copy of the sales receipt from Guitar Hero 5.
The offer notes to allow 6 weeks for delivery, but that would still put Van Halen into homes several weeks before its planned December release date. At the very least it seems like a good deal for those interested in one or both of the Guitar Hero games, and makes it even more likely to score big sales numbers this holiday season.
