Yes, half the fun is discovering things. This is one hot topic sa FFXIV community. Most casuals like it almost handed everything. Hardcores wanted it to be mythical. Simple things like aggro icon and enmity meter have made the discussion blazing. Most FFXI vets particularly hardcore ones dont like it. Thanks that you can toggle it on/off.

almost same tayo ng style sir at mas gusto ko rin na sarili ko mismo ang maka-discover ng secrets ng game but there are times na may ma-mi-miss out ka (come on! sino ba naman ang player na isang playthrough lang eh na-unlock niya talaga lahat ng walang mintis)... so ang ginagawa ko after my 1st playthrough check out guides ng secrets na maari kong na-miss out so in this way, mas lesser na ang accidental spoiler iwas na lang siyempre sa mga secret endings, etc. i don't have the luxury of time rin na i-karir for example itong game na 'to kaya nag-co-consult din ako ng mga techniques to save time rather than wasting my time trying to be a big-time-hard-core-gamer of ff series then isa pa hindi lang ito games na lalaruin mo (as for me, i have psp, pc, ps3 and iphone) kaya kung san ako mas makakakuha ng magandang paraan na somehow to keep me on the pace don ako... in that way, i can have more time in enjoying the game kasi may early info na ako pero not to the point of huge advantage na totally spoiled na ang game...

Nice post on FF music. halos complete nga ako nyan. binasa ko mga comments sa kada OST posted and so far accdg sa mga comment na nabasa ko, lahat ay best FF sa kanila. yung Distant World sa XI, maririnig mo lang pag natapos mo na yung COP. tagal pa man din bago ko natapos COP. i recoreded it nga, yung last CS. the best story ever for all FF games i played.

Mukang di na tayo magkakaroon ng FF game na ala 7,8 or 9 na may towns + travel manually by airship or foot sa worldmap... Sana magkaroon uli ng ganito kahit na di ganun kaganda graphics. Pag kasi ala FF13 graphics, di yata nila kaya gawin due to costs, hardware limitation and time constraints?

Fan takes a crack at Final Fantasy VII remake

It’s possible that we’ll never see a Final Fantasy VII remake. And if Square Enix eventually does decide to take on the challenge, it could be awhile before it happens. Very recently, Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase indicated that remaking the title could “take three times, four times, even ten times longer” to create compared to the original.

While an official remake is probably out of the question, a fan has created an unofficial project. The demo, which is available for download now, was made with the Unreal Engine. It’s already up and running (see the site for a download link), though you best be quick if you’d like to experience the demo. Square Enix could be looking to take down the unofficial remake soon. Pinanood ko demo. Ang sama ko pero Natawa ako ng sobra sa remake, hahaha mukang stop dance tsaka ang awkward nila gumalaw. highlight yung pagblock ni Cloud tapos paggamit niya ng Fire Magic tapos biglang tumilapon mga kalaban.

Ang FFXII, may Cities and towns at sandbox siya. Airships are CS teleports only at may lugar na may Chocobo lang . you can travel by foot. this last FF sa PS2 at yung 2 online have an expansive world that you can explore the corners of each zones.

yung dalawang existing na Online FF, may towns and cities, can travel by foot or Chocobo.
Sa unang FF online, may airship, ship, at barges but you can not control it manually, predestined ang travel.

Sa second FF online, may ship pa lang na predestined at airship na CS lang na parang teleport. but eventually sabi ng dev team sa new FF online, balak nila implement later ang Airship travel with Airship fights, Mobs as mount, even Magi Tech as a form of mount. Kung magagawa ng devt team dito ang air dragon fight ( many vs many) na naka mount ka sa wyvern, sure na patok ito sa mga players. May ganito kasing idea ang community na puro up sa forums and hopefully pakingan ng devt team at kung magagawa nila. Other idea is the PVP in Magi Tech Armor set. Another is the Phantom/Doomed Train as a form of dungeon but mobile.

Missing Monsters From Fortress, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Spinoff

Before Bionic Commando ReArmed developer Grin shut down, they were working on a Final Fantasy XII spinoff called Fortress. Artwork of Ashe, a wandering judge, slipped out earlier.

Another artist revealed some of the monsters players would fight… if Fortress was finished. It appears the game had more than Bombs and Chocobos. Fortress has a vicious-looking centipede and a living rock creature.
