Backbreaker is an upcoming football video game developed by NaturalMotion(develop the engine for GTAIV and Star Wars: Force Unleashed) for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game's big claim to fame is realistic tackles that are produced in real time by the euphoria engine, as opposed to relying on canned animations like most other football games. The game also employs a third person camera angle which is different from the traditional overhead view used by most sports video games. The game is expected to be released in 2008.
