Linksys WRT54G v7, smartbro internet connection and ps3 ofcourse.

these steps are done after you have setup the router on your pc, logging on, security, mac cloning if you want etc., i wont discuss it anymore.

it is possible to achieve a nat 2 connection with a smartbro broadband.

archangel has made a guide on this but it doesnt cover the nat 2 type, does not explain the possibility that wireless connection always fails most of the time and we cant log on to the portal using our ps3s. no offense man, it may have worked for you, but it didnt to me.

1. make sure your wrt54g router is updated to its latest firmware. it can be found in linksys.com the latest i believe is mar 07.

2. place your desired ps3's ip address in dmz mode.

3. make sure upnp is enabled.

4. manually put network settings in the ps3.

5. test internet connection and voila. problem solved. works like a charm both wireless and wired connection.

i had so much trouble with my wireless connection to the ps3 until now. just want to share.

solved nat3 to nat2 problems of smartbro, and other problems encountered in smartbro - ps3 unless you have very poor connection.

I'm getting a This is a DNS Error whenever I try to update my PS3? Did you have that problem?

Ayaw talaga, sinubukan ko nang palit palitan yung 3 DNS servers sa PS3 DNS error pa din.

alam ko pinaka supot ang v7 na model eh..

basta po mga sirs update nyo ang mga router nyo to its latest firmware, and then try nyo muna walang security, kahit yung sa mac lang na security. tapos impt naka dmz yung ip add ng ps3 nyo. nat 2 yan for sure, basta updated router nyo. mawawala din yang dns error for sure sa wireless.
