i need help guys, i just found out na yung mga katabi naming unit dito sa bldg. ninanakawan ako ng internet connection without asking.... okay lang sana magshare pero there are times na sobrang bumabagal na at hindi ko na ma enjoy yung gaming ko online with my PS3.... is there a way na makapaglagay ako ng security username and password para everytime na mag aattempt silang kumonek sa router ko they will be prompted for user/pass? im currently using Linksys WRT54G router and Smartbro ISP... thanks! hindi kasi ako marunong magconfigure ng router since hindi ako ang bumili nito at wala sakin ang manual

normally 1mbps... sadly pag merong mga nakikisagap bumababa ng mga 500kbps... darn... i need to know how to secure my access :cry:

ako ang ginagawa ko lang MAC filter.. ayos na.. walang nakakaaccess except sa laptop ko and PS3 :D.. madali lang yan :D

ganito gawin mo...

punta ka sa default router ip address (192.168.1.1).

After that, pumunta ka sa Wireless tab.. sa Wireless tab, meron pang tabs..pumunta ka under Wireless Mac Filter..

under ng tab na yan click mo yung radio button na Permit only PCs listedto access the wireless network.

tapos punta ka sa Edit Mac Filter List na button. Ienter mo dun yung Mac Address ng PS3 mo and PC.

To get the macaddress on your PS3, go to Information sa ps3 mo.. alam mo na yun..

To get the macaddress ng PC mo, punta ka sa start >> run>> sa run, type mo "cmd" para mapunta ka sa command prompt. Pag nasa command prompt ka na, type mo tong "getmac"..

wag mong kalimutang isave ang settings.

Internal cmd command para makita mo yung MAC address ng devices na ginagamit mo.

In my case, nakikita ko yung MAC addresses ng LAN at modem ko.


BTW, hindi napapalitan ang MAC.

Paano... kase pag-tayp ko ng getmac UNRECOGNIZABLE COMMAND sa cmd window ... :?
