Ngayon lang ako sumubaybay ng US elections. I don't like this electoral votes thing.

As of now...

Overall votes:
Hillary 59,313,548
Trump 59,146,310

Electoral votes:
Hillary 218
Trump 276

Duterte will make amends with the US once Trump finally sits in..Then he'll say hindi naman talaga sya sa US galit, kundi kay Obama lang...

I'm no supporter of any political parties here but that Leni joke by Lord Voldermort isn't funny at all...
While in Tacloban with Robredo last Tuesday, November 8, Duterte managed to tease her before he talked about his rehabilitation plans for the city, noting that she’s a widow, that his marriage had been annulled, and that if rumors were true that she had a congressman-boyfriend that boyfriend would soon be dead.

To top it all, the President talked about Robredo’s short skirts and how, because of this, he preferred to walk behind her. "Kasi si Ma'am Leni, medyo shorter than usual 'yung damit na ano gano'n. Siguro nahalata ng mga protocol officer kasi sige ako sa likod. Si Sonny Dominguez naman, sabi ko, 'Ang layo mo, dito tayo 'lika,' sabi ko. 'Tingnan mo 'yung... tuhod ni...' Nung nahalata niya sige na siya... Gusto ko sabihin, 'Ma'am, mag-shorts ka na lang kaya?'" Duterte said to an audience erupting in laughter.

I believe the ruler we elect reflects the nation and it's people. Duterte won because we wanted someone to fix corruption and crime, at any cost. We elected a potty mouth leader because in truth, tactless ang general public and the nation do like to turn a blind eye from time to time.

With Trump, it came about because no matter how many times America says they are not racist and sexist, it shows that they really are what they say they aren't. Trump embodies the "Me! Me! Me!" the current generation it represents. Tanned and armed with Twitter.

Maybe the truth is Trump is like Batman, not the hero they need, but the hero they deserve. We have Duterte.

Meh, Americans were given two #@*^ candidates at the end. Clinton is one corrupt politician who plays up the gender card and SJWs and Trump... is well, Trump.

Also, makaoverreact naman ang mga Democrats sa twitter, kala mo end of the world na.

well day 1 of post election pa lang pero ang dami ng minorities ang na bully at tinatakit ang nag shishare ng experience nila sa social media and kasama na diyan mga kababayan natin..

anyway back sa espinosa case may naisip ulit ako bakit pwedeng administration ang gumawa.. una naglabas sila ng statement sa media na nagbigay na ng listahan si espinosa and hinted kasama pangalan ni de lima.. though wala yatang nag confirm sa camp ni espinosa.. then a week after pinapatay na siya.. i think ang reason ay bukod sa fabricated ang listahan at tumatanggi si espinosa na akuin yun.. pinatay din siya para takutin yung anak na si kerwin and para mapwersa siya pumalit sa role na tatau niya na ibagsak mga kalaban ng administrasyon sa pulitika.. kasama na din diyan yung tito niya.. kapag pareho sila kumanta sa parehong tano.. sa mata ng publiko "wala ng kawala" si de lima and yung ibang kalaban ng administrasyon kahit walang incriminating evidence like money trail.. kasi hirap na sila mag fabricate after they botched their initial attempt sa pag fabricate ng deposit slips.. so ayan ang panibago kong haka haka..

I don't think you can say that knowing what's going on in the US right now. I have a friend who's currently studying in Texas, and is LGBQT and is fearing for her safety especially after how a number of americans have supported xenophobic sentiments echoed by trump (and not just supported it, but are now acting on it).

For a lot of minorities, this is really a time of uncertainty. And I don't think anyone has the right to tell them they're overreacting.

I do have a friend in Florida. He lives there for two years now, he's doing ok but he does fear for his self and his mother. But c'mon, I just saw a video of a non-minority saying they're going to commit suicide if Trump takes the office next year. It sucks yes, but as Colbert said, they're all in this together now, whether what party they supported.

That's true, there still are overreactions, but you can't deny that the way the US election went (on both sides) that there's a lot of fear, uncertainty, and doubt, that of course leads to people reacting this way.

Well, to be honest with you, with the way some minorities are being treated, they may feel that suicide is an option for them. And in the US, it's a real thing. I'm not quick to dismiss their feelings, just because we're now all realizing just how different America is than what a lot of people thought they were. It's not something to scoff at. Really, what I'm saying is that we should all have empathy at this very difficult time for a lot of people there.

Colbert is correct, and it's the way America should move forward, but one doesn't go through that painful election process that they just had and come out unscathed.
