Guitar Hero Gets Metallica Album This Week

September 8, 2008 - Metallica's ninth studio album, Death Magnetic, will be put up for download for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock this Friday, September 12. The download will feature two Guitar Hero exclusive versions of the song "Suicide Redemption" that will include extended solos. And if you're worried about buying the album for Guitar Hero III with World Tour just around the corner, you can rest easy. Activision has announced that the download will be forward compatible with Guitar Hero World Tour. You only need to purchase the content for one game and you'll be able to play it in both. Guitar Hero World Tour releases in October.

"We've been working very closely with Metallica and we're extremely excited to offer Death Magnetic not only in its entirety, but also with the exclusive recordings of 'Suicide & Redemption' as downloadable content to Guitar Hero fans," said Tim Riley, Vice President of Music Affairs for Activision Blizzard. "We're proud to be setting a new precedent for our two industries, making an entire new album available in two different mediums simultaneously."

The "Death Magnetic" album download will cost 1440 Microsoft points on Xbox 360 and $17.99 on the PlayStation Store.

tested my Gibson Les Paul sa Rockband smooth & hindi na mahirap mag-star power

good job!!!

pero yung Fender Strat ko sa Guitar Hero 3: LoR gumagana pero ayaw gumana sa mga notes kapag nag-start na yung song, ang labo naman! mag-labas din dapat ng patch yung GH3 para sa guitar ng Rockband

Wha?!?? :o Ang laki naman. I had to delete previous game data utilities coz puno na yung 40gig ko :flame:

I really need to upgrade my 40gig then. Bro, how'd you upgrade your current HD? You need an external drive to back up your current files in your HD? Does it have to be the replacing HD or not necessary? All files will be backed up na and restored? Thanx

^^kung ayaw mo i-download ulet lahat ng binili mo i-back up mo sa external HD FAT32 (aside sa binili mong HD upgrade) go to utilities then back-up tapos ipalit muna yung bagong HD mo then ibalik mo ulet yung external HD (with the back-up) then Restore ganun lang

sulet yung Metallica album way better than GH: Aerosmith

Activision boss: Guitar Hero outselling Rock Band 6:1

According to Activision boss Bobby Kotick has said that their Guitar Hero franchise is outselling Rock Band by a whopping 6:1. "When you think about the access we have to 30 per cent of the world’s music at Universal, we have a unique advantage there. I would also say when you look at resources, you know, our next-nearest competitor has a couple of hundred people working on these projects, we have close to 2000 people just dedicated to the Guitar Hero note tracking, introduction of new hardware, introduction of new software, and so we just have a lot more in the way of resources available to us to continue to dominate the category." said Kotick.

Slash says Guitar Hero: Hendrix is in development

Guns n' Roses guitarist Slash may have lits slip that Guitar Hero: Hendrix is in development. The comments were Made in an interview with Rolling Stones where he described how he persuaded Aerosmith's Steven Tyler to work with Activision. "Having the Aerosmith guys do it was very cool 'cause Aerosmith's one of the bands I was heavily influenced by, and Metallica's doing it. Those are two ones that I think gives it some credibility - And they're doing a Hendrix one, which is great." said Mr Slash.

huwag muna, ilabas muna yung Guitar Hero: Metallica
