Which is a Better Deal?

Im to buy a PS3 very soon, but which here do you guys think is better and more trustworthy? So please bare with me.

DATABLITZ

1 week Replacement Warranty
6 months Service Warranty

TOY KINGDOM
P29,000 ASIA PS3
1 year Service Warranty

Do know I live in Cebu so price here might be different there.

Anyway, Datablitz is only 6 months but atleast they got 1 week replacement. But then, what are the chances of a PS3 getting busted in 1 week(very very minimal right?)... just want opinions from people who got their PS3 na. Esp. those who bought from such stores.

I'd pick Toy Kingdom, lalo na kung di issue US or Asian version. The longer the service warranty the better.

Sa Toy Kingdom 1 year service warranty pero minsan daw kahit after 1 yr basta hawak mo pa rin yung warranty card iho-honor pa rin daw. Same thing goes with Toys r us.

If ever lemon yung nakuha mong unit, they have to check it first. Pag confirmed ire-replace nila yung unit mo.

FYI lang friends sa Circuit City nagpapagawa ang Toy Kingdom. I asked them myself last Saturday. As for Toys r Us somewhere in Bulacan. Avant Abensons (Greenbelt branch) naman nagpapagawa sa New Asia bandang Sn. Antonio Village Makati.

Problem ko lang is if sira ang PS3(lemon unit), I have to pay for service fee agad?

Anyway the warranty as I stated are just service fee(magkano ba more or less?), so I still have to pay for the replacement of whatever is damaged.

It depends... Are you gonna use your PS3 to play PS2 NTSC U/C games? If yes, buy the unit at Datablitz... If not, then get the unit at Toy Kingdom

Walang kwenta ang service warranty kasi you still have to pay for the parts kapag nasira. Most shops libre na ang service kapag sa kanila mo binili yung parts kasi malaki na tubo nila dun.

True true. But atleast may peace of mind. Meron dito grey-market, ala Greenhills, PS3 80GB is like 5k cheaper, but I rather not. Too good to be true. Lens is 2.8k daw.

I'm assuming that those prices are for the 80GB version? If so, (like what Hitokiri said) you may want to consider getting the one from Data Blitz if you plan on playing PS2 games with that since it has (partial) PS2 games backward compatibility. Migs has a point. Service warranty won't mean much if you will be paying for the parts. Luckily for me, the store I bought my PS3 from replaced my unit (with a lemon BD drive) for free since it's only been a month of purchase. They even reset the warranty! If only Data Blitz would have at least 1 month replacement warranty, I would recommend them.

Tama rin si Choy. At tsaka ang mahirap lang din sa service warranty, karamihan diyan eh ipapagawa rin nila sa ibang game shops, like EYO. Ang masama pa eh tutubuan ka pa nila. Mas makakamura ka pa kung ikaw na lang mismo nagdala.

sa toy kingdom minsan may mga sale silang PS3 games. sa datablitz never sila nagsasale ng games nila...

i saw a FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 3 sa toy kingdom sm makati. R1 for 2k. oh diba mura... hehe! sa DB 3k parin ang ganitong title...

Do you think mas OK if dun nalang ako sa isang "gray market" shop, which sells their unit 4-5k cheaper, but only gives 2 weeks warranty?

Afterwhich, they will be the one to repair it(not send it somewhere) for a fee.

yup mas mahal po nga sa toy kingdom. just saying na may mga instance na nagsasale din sila at TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION sale games nila mas mababa pa sa datablitz. swertihan lang at tsambahan kung may mga luma kang games na gusto bilhin... try browsing sa sale section nila.

GH parin best place to buy games locally na mas mura... problem mo lang TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION stock... hehe!

Since ur in cebu, you might wanna check out I.TECH store located at the maze ayala. they have 40g and 80g ps3, there games are also updated...

kung para lang sa gaming console and game discs sa DATABLITZ na ko mas forte nila yon at mas mabilis ang paglabas nila ng mga updated titles/units... sa TOY KINGDOM para sa akin para lang sa mga laruan na collectibles...
