Do you also play with non-PlayStation devices? Do you enjoy playing as a plumber saving a princess? Or some bald marines? Or maybe you want to play using the touchscreen?
Developed by id software, the studio that pioneered the first-person shooter genre and created multiplayer Deathmatch, Doom returns as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat – whether you’re obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes.

You’ve come here for a reason. The Union Aerospace Corporation’s massive research facility on Mars is overwhelmed by fierce and powerful demons, and only one person stands between their world and ours. As the lone Doom Marine, you’ve been activated to do one thing – kill them all.
Key Features
A Relentless Campaign – There is no taking cover or stopping to regenerate health as you beat back Hell’s raging demon hordes. Combine your arsenal of futuristic and iconic guns, upgrades, movement and an advanced melee system to knock-down, slash, stomp, crush, and blow apart demons in creative and violent ways. Return of id Multiplayer – Dominate your opponents in Doom‘s signature, fast-paced arena-style combat. In both classic and all-new game modes, annihilate your enemies utilizing your personal blend of skill, powerful weapons, vertical movement, and unique power-ups that allow you to play as a demon.
Bethesda told Engadget that the Switch port of Doom will have all the updates and DLC released for the original game except for the SnapMap level editor. It's also worth noting that the physical version of the game will only include the single-player campaign on the game card due to size constraints -- to play online multiplayer, users will need to download a free update. Naturally, users that choose digital-only copies will get the whole package in one go.
Bethesda revealed that the Switch version of Doom will not include the SnapMap level editor. This allowed players to create their own levels with custom gameplay options and play them on any platform.
While the plethora of user-generated maps made with the SnapMap feature may be absent, all of the game’s DLC will be available for free. However, players who plan on purchasing the physical version will only receive the campaign mode on the cartridge. A free update will be available that will include the game’s multiplayer mode. Players who purchase the game on the eShop will receive everything the game has to offer upon downloading the fast-paced shooter.
“DOOM on Switch is custom-built for the hardware and while graphics won’t be 1:1 with other platforms, the game will deliver the amazing DOOM look and feel that fans are excited to get on Switch.â€
sana may offline free for all mode na may bots hehe... kahit 30gb pa to papatusin ko na.
And i think the switch version of the game is going to get praises. Kasi shortly after the game was announced for the switch, nakapag pakita na sila ng gameplay video running on the switch itself which means kampante ang devs that they can pull this off.
Bethesda also reiterated that Doom’s single-player campaign, along with the arcade mode, “fit on a 16 GB cartridgeâ€. The multiplayer mode will be a separate download for the physical version, as was previously known. If you’re interested in that mode, you’ll need 9GB of free space.
“The game and rendering technology underlying Doom is extremely scalable. In bringing Doom to Switch, we targeted outstanding visuals at a solid 30 fps and by maintaining a consistent 30 fps, the experience remains consistently fluid and smooth. We’ve been thrilled with the feedback that Doom is among the very best looking and performing games on Switch.â€
The Switch eShop listing for Doom has updated with the game’s file size. For those who plan on purchasing the game digitally, 13.4GB of free space is needed.
While it’s not said specifically, we can assume that multiplayer will be a separate download on Switch, as is the case with the physical version. Bethesda previously said that the multiplayer component takes up about 9GB of space.
