HTC? What model?
I'm considering Galaxy J1 2016 pero i'm surprised, ang baba ng specs pero naka Android 5.1.1 siya.

Phone that I'm using? http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_desire_816-6073.php

Yung s4 mini na nabili ko sa sg dati (at around 17K petot) still works fine up to this day. In fact, im still using it. Never sya tinopak at wala pang internal parts na napalitan since i bought it. I got apps on it pero i dont excessively use them. From time to time i literally turn off my phone for atleast an hour lalo na para bumilis ang charging tapos i just turn down most of the features that i dont really need.
I also still have my z3 compact hidden and unused since i got it when it first came out back in 2014 pero i take it out from time to time to charge it and update the software so its practically in excellent condition. Kinuha ko sya just for the reason na its a sony brand at tiwala ako sa tatak na yun over the years, plus, baka kelanganin ko ng backup phone in the future and it turns out i didnt have to need one after all ....
Gagastos ka talaga ng malaki-laki if you're after good quality. Pagdating sa gadgets laging tandaan na you always get what you pay for.

Something has got to give pag mura ang presyo tapos mataas ang specs. It's usually mid-range o flagship kinukuha ko. My Optimus Black is still working, pati S4. My Huaweis are working as paper weights.

Ok..
I don't know if playing Injustice: Gods Among Us has done something to my phone. I was started playing it mid Feb. Then my routine is 4 times a day 10 to 15 minutes each.
Infairness to my Samsung Galaxy Fit, ilang bagsak na pero ok pa rin. Froyo pa rin siya though hahah.
I'm thinking ways kung paano pa siya mapapabilis. Aside sa killing unwanted apps. Kaya pa ba siyang gawing Kitkat at least kaso baka ma-drain ang battery agad.

Yeah. I guess so.. I was like "Hey Quad Core Intel Arom, 64GB Internal space and a 4GB RAM? Samsung can't give me that kind of specs in my price range".

The problem is that, raw specs alone isn't enough to accurately judge an electronic's worth (and mobile phones aren't exceptions). A Snapdragon chip can outperform its Mediatek equivalent because of better architecture and higher end units mostly uses better ICs, PCBs, capacitors, etc (for longer lifespan and better heat efficiency). I guess so.. ^I avoided those Octacores with 1GB RAMs.. I prioritize 4GB RAM under my budget.. Only ASUS gave me an options at that time.
I still prefer Quads than Octas. For me the higher the RAM the better be it Dual, Quad or Octa CPUs

got my Zenfone 2 back from the service center.. Software Update lang ginawa.. No hardware problem. Yeah all files deleted so i'm back to scratch haha. They said probably something went wrong with last system update. Especially when updates downloaded then it didn't finished, it can take a toll and can brick a phone.
Funny.. If the problem is software, Recovery Mode should be accessible. But how come the phone got hard-bricked? Oh ASUS..
Now I'm cautious whether to play 3D games like Injustice, Hitman Assassin or NBA 2K16.

^kung gaming lang din naman habol mo then get a dedicated handheld device instead para kahit graphics intensive ang laruin mo oks lang kasi the hardware especially the battery is designed to withstand the graphics demand of the game.
Mobile phones are, first and foremost, communication devices so just use it the way its intended to be used for. Kung meron mang media use yan na hindi masasagad ang hardware mo then that is for video and music playback na lang pati online browsing. Kung hindi ka makatiis na hindi maglagay ng gaming app then atleast try to limit your playing time - prolonged playing time on your mobile device can eventually harm your hardware lalo na yung baterya.
Every smart gadget users got their own experience when using their devices so i wouldn't hold it against others kung merong mag disagree sa kin pero ako kasi more of an old school user ako - text, tawag tapos konting mp3 oks na ko. Kung meron man akong gaming app sa phone ko nag iisa lang tapos i only play it when extremely necessary. This is why my s4 mini still works fine up to this day at never sya nasira to the point na naging unusable na sya.

hard bricked na naman ZF2 ko after 1 week of being repaired.
same scenario, instant dead while charging. 2nd hard-brick within 9 months..
Parang gusto ko sumuko sa ASUS.. Paano na 15k ko? hehehe.. Ganun ganun na lang?
Can I demand a brand new unit?
Oo ang pag-uupdate ng firmware is to resolve a certain problem.
So how come problem is still existing even though they updated it?
Buti pa PS3 firmware.. Pag sinabing for Stability purposes, stable talaga

Kung covered pa yan ng warranty either get some parts replaced or the entire unit na.
Chances are, its bound to get worst so try to ask for a brand new unit kung may warranty pa yan or keep trying just like what ive done to my dead phone and who knows baka bumalik sa normal pero i wouldnt count on it to work all the time.

What's with the phone makers specially big name makers that they're willling to sell Octa Core CPUs a lot but not got giving a proper RAM?
Right now, Samsung's J7 2015. It has Octacore but the RAM is 1.5GB. I think it should around 3 to 4GBRAM.
That being said, J7 2016 have 3GBRAM to support the Octacore CPU.
Is RAM expensive to be produced than CPUs?
Do consumer really need Octacores?
It's about the Internal RAM that makes the difference right? (espcially muti-tasking users)

^its all about marketing, really. Kaya naman ng mga manufacturers na mag develop at mag produce ng high end phones right away pero hindi nila ginagawa kasi mawawalan sila ng pantapat sa mga future releases ng mga karibal nila, plus, devices also have limitations in a way that better features would most likely compromise battery consumption, etc so dapat balanse din.
If you want better features and quality build then get the much more expensive model.

Yea. What grayfox said.

Thanks..
Anyway share ko lang.. May offer na extension warranty ang Samsung 2 years. Basta accidental damage pati faulty software or hardware pasok na.
At di mabigat sa bulsa.. Let's say ang S7 eh nasa 1,500php while J7 eh nasa 500-600php lang.. I don't know kung yung ibang brands may ganitong offer.

tulad nga ng paulit ulit kong sinasabi - you will always get what you pay for.
im still waiting for these manufacturers to develop a phone that is capable of shooting RAW tapos merong manual setting AT 1.8 aperture na camera...pag nangyari yun i'll gladly drop my slr's for good
