The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

Do you also play with non-PlayStation devices? Do you enjoy playing as a plumber saving a princess? Or some bald marines? Or maybe you want to play using the touchscreen?

there still may be a chance for a console version

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011- ... nsole-talk
Work won't begin on a console version of The Witcher 2 until the flagship PC release has happened, CD Projekt has explained to Eurogamer.
if someone can fund them it will be faster

maybe this is why i'm not so hyped up with LA Noire's upcoming release, dahil sa Witcher 2, sakto tapos na ako sa challenge tower ng MK, rpg muna :cheer:

hope my pc rig can handle this max graphical settings since gamesradar's review stated the steep graphic power needed

excellent review btw

^^Ako alam ko di kaya ng PC ko ang max settings. I'm happy if it can handle mediums settings lang.

Eto comparison ng high settings sa minimum settings

the Ultra Ubersampling requires at least a 6990 level, i'll be happy to be running in medium lol

Just went to Datablitz, mukhang akala nila yung Premium Edition yung collector's edition nung game. Anyway, premium edition lang ang meron nila. It's P 2,295.00

Hopefully, magkaroon sila nung Collector's edition. I'll try to wait for a few days, kung wala then may nakareserved na premium edition sa akin.

tried it out tonight, average of 43-44 FPS on my rig

these are my settings, 1680x1080, almost all are on high, shadow quality and no. of shadow lights are on ultra, ubersampling is disabled (tried it, low fps if enabled)
Image

these are screen capped with FRAPS, note the fps on the upper left (these crappy jpeg images don't do the actual graphics justice though, had to compress for smaller file)

Image

higher res versions but still muddy jpegs:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v200/ ... W001HR.jpg

game is GORGEOUS, if you have the horsepower to run this on high settings, your jaw will drop on the level of detail especially LOD distance

for reference, my setup is:

core i5 2400 3.1ghz quadcore
4gb ddr3 1333
GTX460 1GB OC

now back to the witcher 2 :cheer:

This game puts Dragon Age 2 to shame.

Running at 1920 x 1080 at Ultra/High (AA/Super sampling and SSAO turned off) and i'm getting aroung 50-60fps constant.

i think this title is more gpu intensive, as long as you get a quadcore cpu and a mid to midhigh vc, you're good to go.

of course if you have the money for i7 quad or even hexacores, the better, sandy bridge is the best cpu right now, kahit i5 sandy bridge kaya pantayan top of the line 1st gen i7

regarding the game, combat is kind of clunky, not very tight and responsive, medyo floaty, also when hoards of enemies gang up on you, you have no choice but to employ hit and run tactics, it gets kind of monotonous after a few battles. that's a definite negative for me.

and another thing, small bugs like NPCs blocking your way forcing me to load a previous save, this game needs a patch as far as im concerned.

8/10 for me, not as perfect as the GR review made it out to be.

try using traps and bombs, use quen or other signs, try parrying/blocking or target locking the enemies as well. Playing the game like a hack and slash without preparing like drinking a potion or not oiling your weapon can make a huge difference.

I think you're not suppose to be killing multiple enemies easily. They made the combat alittle bit realistic don't you think? A strong figure can be defeat if you have the numbers behind you.

Yup, you're suppose to be doing this. Again, you're just one person. If you want to be killing enemies w/out a challenge. I suggest you play the game in easy mode. Normal and Hard difficulty requires you to use alchemy in battles.
