Bumili ako ng Linksys WRT54G WiFi G router sa PC Gilmore. P2,350. Paano ba i-set up to para sa PS3 ko? I have a Bayantel DSL Plan 1665 1MBPS. Thanks.

its usually plug and play bro. No need for special configurations other than your WEP/WPA or mac filter. What have you done so far?

Wala akong sinet na security. So NONE lang. Then sa dulo, disable UPNP. Also kasi bayantel DSL, enter PPPOE. Nagcoconnect naman. Pero I need to always test the connection para alam ko. Kasi kung pag ka ON ko ng PS3 and wait ko siya magconnect sa PSN, sobrang tagal pero di naman magconnect. So I always have to test the connection pa at laging failed until mga pang 20 na try, ayun coconnect na.

I have pldt and a the V7.02 WRT54G router. He're the weird thing. Everytime na wired ako, and pag nagttry ako mag download ng firmware lumalabas "Ethernet cable has been disconnected", everytime na mag hahanap TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION ng update or magssign in ako sa PSN, pero pag surf lang ok naman. And another wierd thing. Everytime naman na wireless ako, once na i on ko yung ps3 ko, nag didisconnect lahat ng wifi ko na gadget (i.e. cellphone, PDA, laptop etc) as if parang nagrereboot yung router pag yung ps3 na yung nagcoconnect.

All of my router settings are stock, kaka restore ko lang to factory settings. V7 yung WRT54G ko. No port forwards enabled, no security.

UPDATE: I just changed PS3s (from 40GB to 60GB) firmware 2.10. Pag wireless naman cant obtain IP address. I keep getting DNS error naman ngayon pag wired from my router. I tried bypassing the router, tapos manually entered IP/DNS ganun parin. :fury: Whats going on!

ganyan din problem ko kanina pero na solve ko na ang ginawa ko ni reformat ko pc ko install everything setup ps3 ayun success ryt now download ako firmware 2.30

Need help, di rin maka-connect Ps3 ko ngayon pero yung psp ko gumagana naman yung internet. Pag nag Internet Connection Test ako Obtain IP Add: Failed. Eto madalas nakalagay The attempt to obtain IP add timed out tapos kanina The access point was not detected (8013030F). Minsan naman parehong Successful yung Obtain IP Add at Internet Connection pero pag Playstation Network Failed naman. Bat kaya di ako makaconnect PS3 ko?

Eto nga pala settings ko:
WLAN: None
IP Add: Autoatic
DHCP: Do not set
DNS: Automatic
MTU: Automatic
Proxy: Do not use
UPnP: Enabled

Media Servers: disabled
by the way Mac filtered ako.

Linksys din router namin....I never encountered any problem naman nung una...Until one night, nagdown yung internet, yung ps3, pc, at laptop namin TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION nang internt...nung chineck ko sa pc, mayroong ngpop-up...Sabi doon Nagcoconflict daw sa IP address...I changed the IP address of my PS3 and everything was ok na nman....Nagtataka lang ako, nung una hindi nman ngrereklamo yung ps3 at pc na mayroong IP address Conflict...Bakit ngayon lang?....

Try testing your connection to wired kahit walang cable sa likod. Tapos revert back to wireless connection. Somehow it works for me.

This also happened to me previously. It was so frustrating initially. So, I just assigned a static IP address on my PS3. Ngayon no more disconnections for the other WIFI devices when my PS3 connects.

Ok din yung may static IP. I also opened all the PSN ports and assigned it permanently to the PS3's static IP.

parehas pala tayo ng router, I tried everything in the book, manual, messageboards, etc and so on to no avail, hindi ko talaga mapagana, laging hindi madedetect yung ethernet cable. Pero pag directly sa modem naka plug ang PS3 no problems what so ever

maybe its a linksys thing? kahit wired or wireless, the connection is bound to fail
