Sega announced a new sci-fi robot action game called Binary Domain for PS3 and Xbox 360, from the Ryuga Gotoku [Yakuza] team. The game will have a mix of drama and third person shooter action gameplay. The story will take place in 2080, where Tokyo is split into two sectors, and there is a war between human and robots.

Yakuza's Kazuma Kiryu, and here's your first look!
Here are some first pics showing Binary Domain's collaboration with Yakuza.
Yakuza main character Kazuma Kiryu will appear as a downloadable playable character for Binary Domain's multiplayer mode. The normal looking Kazuma is for when you play on the government side. The Rambo looking Kazuma is for when you play on the resistance side. http://andriasang.com/comyx9/
Watch Former Yakuza Hostess Rio Play Binary Domain (Gameplay)
Sega apparently didn't get its fill of Rio after the former hostess in Yakuza 4. Here she is promoting Binary Domain by making lots of obnoxious sounds while playing it.
At the beginning of the clip, Rio lies and says that she loves games and that whenever she goes to an arcade, she's sure to play a gun game before leaving.
To the left, we have Binary Domain's Japanese boxart. To the right, what may be the US boxart (I'm not sure if it's official or not).
Stylistic preferences aside, the Japanese one wins by default because it proudly displays the Ryu ga Gotoku Studio logo -- the first game to sport the logo for the newly formed studio.
