Im currently at work right now so I can't really check it. However, before I left, I checked the "modem" and found something called an ethernet. Did I just shoot my self in the foot? I mean I don't think the router that comes with my globe 1 MB plan comes with a ethernet router. What should I do?
edit: Oh, man, I just got home and checked the 4 "modem" slots. They're actually ethernet slots. I feel so dumb. Oh well thanx a lot to every person who answered.
I think I just shot myself in the foot here. (ethernet?)

Actually, modems provided by Globelines are already routers. Modem-routers ika nga. Kung isa lang ang ethernet port, just get yourself a switch if you plan on setting up a home network.

alam ko nga sa PLDT sasabihin pa sa iyo bawal gumamit ng router at it won't work, although it will. heheheheh, pinagswaswapang yung connection nila
sa bayantel naman ang sasabihin lang nila, they won't support kung may problema router mo kasi hindi sa kanila galing yon

Yup! Kahit papaano ay galante ang Globelines. Yung modem ko ay modem-router din with 4 ethernet ports at wireless-G built in at 120 minutes access sa World Pass service although wala naman akong portable wifi enabled gadget para masulit ko.
