I think how the CJ impeachment case will be handled, the harassment of the Ombudsman, and the ramifications of Bautista's resignation/impeachment on the Bong Bong vs Leni election protest will be big events to see how people respond to this government's attempts at keeping a stranglehold on their power.

Nieto of Thinking Pinoy and Sass Sassot dahil sa panghaharass ng isang blogger.
Atty. Florin Hilbay is even offering help to the lady blogger to be her counsel . According to her, a group of lawyers also approached her for free legal services.

Great read indeed.

No matter who the president is, the people around him still make things worse.

Unfortunately, the current president admittedly knows only few things:

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief General Eduardo Año on Tuesday said the military was still sweeping Marawi City in search of at least P1 billion loot stashed away by members of the terrorists who occupied the area.

According to a Balitanghali report by Raffy Tima, members of the Maute-ISIS stole the money from several banks and houses throughout the coure of the five-month siege.

Año said terrorists who planned to escape government attacks hid the money somewhere inside the city. They were supposed to come back for it once the battle is over.

"Ang pinaplano kasi nila, kanya-kanyang tago at baon sila eh. Para kung sakaling matapos 'yung siege, makatakas sila, puwede nilang balikan," Año said. "I believe andito pa 'yan."

Nakalimutan ko ata lagyan ng sarcasm yun 'best and the brightest' hehe

re: Jeepney modernization.

With regard to jeepney modernization, I'd rather put this mode of public transportation under the government para hindi for profit. Then all current jeepney drivers can apply as drivers as long as they pass the screening tests. These drivers will have a fixed montly salary and will be eligible for GSIS and 13th month pay. They will also need to pay taxes obviously. If the government can say that the jeepneys are affordable then they shouldn't have a problem setting a budget for this.

Nakakapagtaka naman kung bakit pinipilit ni Grace Poe na mag leave muna yung dean ng UST law because of the hazing incident that caused the death of Atio.

Is there any direct involvement between the dean himself and the actual hazing that led to the dath of Atio? (Sorry if i spell his name incorrectly).

Dude there might not be any direct correlation or involvement but the mere fact it happened under their roof, under his watch as dean, means to some extent he is also accountable for what happened.
