(news) Dragon Quest XI will be offline, for home console
Speaking with Final Fantasy fan-site Final Fnatasy Ring, Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii has once again confirmed that Dragon Quest XI will be a game for home console.
Additionally, Horii also confirmed that Dragon Quest XI will be an offline game—not an MMORPG like Dragon Quest X—and that it will be a return to the traditional mechanics of Dragon Quest.
Next week’s issue of Weekly Jump is supposed to have a “big title†related to Dragon Quest revealed

tutal ps4 ang best-seller ngayon, hindi malabong sa ps4 ilabas ang susunod na dragon quest, basta hindi handhled.

Gematsu has uncovered the official logo for Dragon Quest XI, which is set to be announced at tomorrow’s Dragon Quest New Title Press Conference.
The low-res image makes the subtitle hard to read, but it looks like it says, “éŽãŽåŽ»ã‚Šã—時を求ã‚ã¦,†or “In Search of Departed Time.â€

Square Enix has announced Dragon Quest XI for PlayStation 4 and 3DS
Square Enix is cooperating with Orca on development. It’s being made on Unreal Engine 4.

update log from the NeoGAF forums
- Two different games based on the same story similar to Ni no Kuni.
- Both games slated for 2016 release to coincide with series 30th anniversary.
- PS4 version is open(-ish?) world. Similar to DQVIII

I prefer "open(-ish?)" than completely open world. I've come to a realization that I'm not for open world games. Well, another game on my to buy list.
