^Ayos lang yan, i feel the same.. Kaya PS3 at PC games muna ako.
At yung mga 4K TVs, in time bababa na rin presyo nyan within a year.
If this are all true then simulan na ang pag-iipon for PS4K, PS4 AAA games at a 4K TV

Playstation 4 Neo Arrives End September
The console formerly know as PS4K or PS4 Neo will arrive roughly at the end of November, times just right for the Christmas season. French wholesaler Innelec Multimedia shared this info and mentioned the release date.

Seeing as Innelec is a major French video games distributor and wholesaler, this could be factual. The date lines up with the Tokyo Game Show in September as well.

The upcoming upgraded PlayStation 4 is tagged under Codename NEO and is based upon an upgraded CPU, GPU and RAM. The custom SoC chip that empowers it all will get 8 CPU cores, running at 2.10 GHz; and an embedded GPU (IGP) featuring 36 compute units based on "Next-generation Graphics CoreNext" architecture from AMD.

That last bit is interesting as next-gen obviously suggests a new architecture and thus that in fact could be Polaris. A Neo SoC would be far cheaper and easier to make the custom SoC with a 28nm fab though. But granted the 36 next-gen GCN compute units (x 64 stream processors per cluster) sound very familiar and close to Polaris10 "Ellesmere" chip with a stream processor count of 2304, double over the 1152 from the current PlayStation 4.

Sony offers suggestions for reaching 4K/UltraHD resolutions for NEO mode game builds, but they're also giving developers a degree of freedom with how to approach this. 4K TV owners should expect the NEO to upscale games to fit the format, but one place Sony is unwilling to bend is on frame rate. Throughout the documents, Sony repeatedly reminds developers that the frame rate of games in NEO Mode must meet or exceed the frame rate of the game on the original PS4 system.

Neo at 4K would be a Ultra HD supported mode, yet most if not all rendered content would be upscaled.

^^^ He he... Go for it, bro! :-D It's not like the games will suddenly look extremely ugly compared to a game running in "Neo Mode". :)

E3 would be a geat place for Sony to officially announce this. If they do, it's almost a guarantee that it will be released within the year. Pretty exciting! I hope they have a 1tb model.

kasi these new parts will for sure require additional power. More power more generation of heat.

PS4 Neo had to be done becasue “PS VR would be terrible on regular PS4”

According to an industry source, Sony had to beef up the PS4 for VR, because on the regular console, the PlayStation VR would have been a “terrible” experience, as reported in the latest issue of Edge magazine.

“PSVR was going to be terrible on a [launch] PS4. It was going to be truly awful. Something a bit more powerful starts to bring VR into range. If you want to deal with crazy requirements for performance in VR, you absolutely have to do this.”

While normal PS4 games usually run at 60 or 30 frames per second, VR requires 90 frames per second in order to deliver a good experience. The PS4 Neo has an updated GPU that’s twice as powerful as the regular PS4.

Both the PlayStation VR and PS4 Neo are reported to launch in October.

PS4.5 a “Naturally Expected Part of the Lifecycle,” Says Sumo Digital Co-Founder

Sumo Digital Co-Founder Carl Cavers believes that Sony’s purported hardware upgrade is to be expected as “people are prepared to invest in the latest thing.”
During an interview with MCV UK, Cavers attributed the mid-gen refresh to mobile devices noting that, so long as companies offer the consumer a reason to upgrade, then users will want to have “the latest cutting edge technology.”

“It’s a naturally expected part of the lifecycle. There have always been changes in hardware. There have always been updates. There have always been iterations. So people want the latest thing, as has born out by mobile devices. People are prepared to invest in the latest thing if it gives them a real reason to invest. If there’s a significant reason for having an upgrade or a change, then people want to have the latest cutting edge technology.

“And games have always been cutting edge. It needs to remain there, you can’t afford to have consoles that have become outdated.”

Those reported specs for PlayStation 4.5 — currently bearing the codename PS4 Neo — tease a GPU twice as powerful as that of its PS4 brethren, while there’s also mention of a different hard drive. Whether that indicates faster or bigger — or indeed both — is up for question.

It's terrible because out of 8GB of RAM, 5GB are only assigned to games. :(

Sony confirms PS4 Neo exists, costs more, and won’t be at E3

The PlayStation 4 Neo is confirmed, but don't expect to see it on-stage at Sony's E3 press conference next week. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Andrew House gave Financial Times (paywall) the first official word of the upgraded system's existence, confirming that the "high-end PS4" will have improved support for 4K resolution displays and offer improved graphics.

Sony plans to sell the pricier system system alongside the standard $349/£299 console "through the life cycle" of PlayStation 4. It's meant as a complement rather than a replacement, and as such it will not receive any exclusive games.

“All games will support the standard PS4 and we anticipate all or a very large majority of games will also support the high-end PS4,” House said. Both versions will also be compatible with the PlayStation VR headset, which is planned for release in October.

House refused to comment on a potential price point or release date for the system, but he did confirm that it will be "standalone profitable at the time that we launch it" - meaning Sony will not sell the hardware at a loss, hoping to make back the difference through games and accessories. With the standard console covering the lower end of the market, I wouldn't be surprised if Neo went appreciably north of the original $399/£349 PS4 price point. But we'll have to wait longer than E3 next week to find out more (official) details.

"We want to ensure we have a full range of the best experiences on the new system that we can showcase in their entirety,” House said.
