Earlier this month word came out that Ubisoft's next Assassin's Creed title will not be called "Assassin's Creed 4" and was code named "Assassin's Creed: Golden Age." Shortly after, news broke that Ubisoft was holding a "mysterious" Assassin's Creed meeting on February 27th, presumably to show off the next installment in their series, officially titled "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag."

Earlier today marketing material showed up on Kotaku, solidifying the "pirate" theme. Since then, countless amounts of information have been flooded onto the internet. Today I am bringing you the first rumored image and information known of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. The main characters name is Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway from Assassin's Creed 3. Edward is known as a Privateer, Assassin and occasional pirate. The games location is set in the Caribbean on multiple islands including Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas.

The current game is running on the Xbox 360, but has plans for next generation console's as well. Finally, Darby McDevitt is the lead script writer, with tie in's from previous Assassin's Creed games.

wow pirate assassins creed yan ang cool,edward kenway?lolo ni connor yan.numbered sequel agad d tulad ng ac2 may mga spinoffs,anyway bitin nga ako sa story ng ac3 so its nice to know that ubisoft is expanding the backstory of the characters.

as long as its not connor... ill be fine...

Ubisoft Confirm “Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag”, PS3 Version Includes Exclusive Content

Ubisoft have confirmed that the next Assassin’s Creed game is called “Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag” and have publicly stated that the embargo for previews and information will be up on Monday, March 4th at 5PM GMT.

So that’s when you’ll read about the game here on TheSixthAxis and elsewhere.

All over information other than the packshot shown is locked up in an NDA until then.

TheSixthAxis were invited to a recent press event – brief details of which were leaked on the internet prior – and we’ll have a full run-down of everything we know early next week.

Note that the PS3 boxart suggests there’ll be sixty minutes of exclusive PS3 content, similar – we assume – to the last game.

All we need now is jack sparrows cameo and POTC theme just like this video hehe ^_^

Baka yung dad ni Desmond since kailangan kalahi ni Desmond para maaccess yung ancestor.

pwede rin... pero parang anu pa kaya ang purpose nila para bumalik sa animus kung tapos na yung objective ng mga ancestral deities in the first place? unanswered questions perhaps? o bagong global calamity

sabagay yung story ata ng AC4 revolves around Hatham Kenways father so pwedi rin na tatay ni Desmond yung mapupunta sa animus.

probably done with Assassin's Creed for a while. Nakakaumay na yung series, and the story isn't good enough for me to keep coming back. Doesn't help that AC 3's ending was really horrible. I did enjoy the naval missions in AC 3 so this game has that going for it.

Nope! Ang kalaban nila now "Baka" is si Juno in Desmond's body. And she's like all knowing hindi ba? May diabolic plan siya for humanity. And buhay pa yung grupo nila Desmond including his Dad and they need something sa era na yan to stop Juno?
