One Piece: Pirate Warriors Boss Scan

A brand new One Piece: Pirate Warriors (One Piece: Kaizoku Musou) scan from Shonen Jump has been released! Boy, oh boy, is it nice! It features character arts and screenshots of several, but not all, of bosses from the game. We see Dracule “Hawk-Eyes” Mihawk, Marine Admiral Aokiji, Sentomaru, Rob Lucci in his Leopard form, “Tin-Plate” Wapol, and everybody’s favorite Captain Buggy! We also see a Pacifista, but it may actually be the real Bartholomew Kuma.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors will have what-if scenarios, that include fights not seen in the anime/manga like Robin vs Aokiji and Whitebeard vs Crocodile. It will also have an online challenge mode where players can go back and fight with every boss in the game, compete for high scores that will show up on an online leaderboard.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors Bosses and Allies Scans

More exciting One Piece: Pirate Warriors scans have been released! Actually, the first one is another piece of today’s boss scan that featured Dracule “Hawk-Eyes” Mihawk and Marine Admiral Aokiji. We can now also see Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard), Marine Admiral Kizaru and Akainu! Additionally, the Jinbe scan , in it’s entirety shows Luffy’s allies Ace, Whitebeard, and Hancock!

Lastly, the larger and clearer scan, we see Usopp and Sanji goofing off in two the the screenshots within the scan. Underneath is more Jinbe (fighting Arlong) and Whitebeard along with Brook!

One Piece: Pirate Warriors Scan Blitz Continues

Times are fantastic if you are a One Piece fan! More scans from One Piece: Pirate Warriors have been revealed thanks to michaels! The first scan shows everybody’s favorite Straw Hat Pirates! There are screenshots and character art of Chopper, Franky, Nami, Usopp, and Luffy. Brook, Robin, Sanji, and Zoro are also in the scan, but unfortunately they are cut off.



The second scan is just a larger version of the bosses scan from earlier today.



The last scan shows Luffy in boss battle situations. The scan includes a fight with bosses – Buggy, Arlong, and Don Krieg – who are from different One Piece arcs!



The fourth and final image shows Hachi. Zoro is the playable character, but it looks like Hachi will be in the game as a passerby.



One Piece PS3, One Piece: Pirate Warriors (or One Piece: Kaizoku Musou in Japanese), is the first One Piece game on the Sony PlayStation 3. It will cover One Piece Part 1 as well as some of the story contents of the One Piece timeskip. The game is in development by Omega Force and will be published by Namco Bandai Games and Tecmo Koei in Japan on March 1, 2012. A European and North American release are possible based on trademark filings by Namco Bandai, but no official word has been released.

Images of One Piece: Pirate Warriors Strategy Guide Bonus Items

V-Jump has revealed images of the bonus items that come with the One Piece: Pirate Warriors Strategy Guide. As you can see below the bonus items include a trading card of Luffy and a custom One Piece theme for the PS3.

Additionally, players will be able to claim a kimono-wearing Zoro figure. The figure isn’t a physical toy, but instead a virtual figure that can be collected as part of the One Piece Grand Collection social web game in Japan.

And in case you are wondering, the picture to the far right below, is an example page from the strategy guide. Looks pretty nice to us!

650,000 Copies of One Piece: Pirate Warriors Shipped for Launch

Japanese sales figures just came out for the period of February 20 to 26 and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations has sold over 65,000 copies in it’s first week, the most ever for a Storm game! Those numbers are impressive, but they are nothing compared to what One Piece: Pirate Warriors is gearing up for.

Namco Bandai Games Japan, today, has announced they have shipped a gigantic 650,000 copies of One Piece: Pirate Warriors for the March 1st launch! Yes, 650,000 copies just for their first shipment! That is the most ever for any of the 32 One Piece games released to date.

We wonder how well Pirate Warriors will actually sell, but if these shipment figures are any indication, Namco Bandai is prepared for a home run!

Unboxing the One Piece: Pirate Warriors Treasure Box

One Piece: Pirate Warriors (or One Piece: Kaizoku Musou as it is known in Japan) has finally been officially released at Japanese retailers! This includes the release of the standard version of the game and the collectors edition for the extreme One Piece enthusiast! Known as the Treasure Box, the collectors edition includes the standard game, an art book, a music CD with the game’s soundtrack, and 15 collectible pins all in a nice, giant box!

One Piece: Pirate Warriors DLC

Namco Bandai Games Japan has, today, released the first batch of DLC (downloadable content) for One Piece: Pirate Warriors! Remember the scan on scenario downloads? Well. the first piece of DLC, as shown in the image below, is a scenario download – defeat 1,000 pirates. The price for this is 100 yen ($1.23 USD) and has a download size of a mere 240 KB. By the looks and size of the file, the DLC isn’t anything special like a Thriller Bark stage download. Rather, this scenario seems like a new mission (defeating 1,000 pirates) on a recycled stage (it looks like Orange Town to us).

The second piece of DLC shown in the image below is a Luffy samurai costume. This costs 350 yen ($4.32 USD) and has a total file size of 25 MB.

The third piece of DLC shown in the image below is just a combination pack of the scenario and costume for a price of 400 yen ($4.93 USD).

In our opinion, this first batch of DLC is extremely underwhelming. Namco Bandai will be releasing DLC every Thursday on the Japanese PlayStation Network, so lets hope next week brings something better!

honeymoon stage pa and OP fan so biased ako but this game is awesome chapter 3 pa lang sa main log, di ko pa sinusubukan yung OL and yung another log modes.
characters movements could be a bit smoother and medyo nalilito pa sa lock-on/camera movements pero ayos na ayos naman ok din na touch yung QTEs pang finish ng boss battles.
what's great din is that the DLCs can be purchased from the HK store, di na kailangan mula sa Japanese account. mas madali kasi makakuha ng HK PSN load kaysa sa Japanese PSN load.
also cheecked the trophy list, mukhang very doable lahat, unlike yung bleach
