Square-Enix owned IO Interactive announced the fifth game in the Hitman series this morning. Titled Hitman Absolution, it finds the titular Agent 47 betrayed by his agency and on the run from international law enforcement.

In a press release forwarded this morning, IO also announced that Hitman Absolution will use Glacier 2, a new engine from IO, and that the game will be "familiar and yet significantly different experience from other Hitman Games," according to Tore Blystad, the game's director.

No release date has been set for Hitman Absolution. We'll have more information about Hitman Absolution for you during this year's E3, starting June 7th.

Ganda nga ng control setup ng Blood Money. Sa Silent Assassin medyo clunky e.

Sana mas i-encourage nila ang stealth gameplay dito or medyo taasan ang penalty for running and gunning (realistic bullet damage or more rewards for being a "Silent Assassin").

Sana nga same controls, same concept, pero more ways to finish the mission. Galing ng mga pseudo-accidents dito e, pero sana mas madaming variety pa and mas brutal yung iba.

Kaso kinakatakot ko e baka magkaroon ng online multiplayer tapos dun magfocus ang devs, ok lang sana kung SP lang pero madaming missions at mataas ang replayability, pwde kaya gawing sandbox game eto?

oo paps, maganda to. ang maganda dito maraming ways pwede mo tapusin ang mission. tingin ka sa youtube ng mga video ng hitman: blood money, may nagpopost dun ng iba't ibang ways para tapusin ang mga mission.

Paborito ko yung lighter fluid at kitchen knife.

^Ako naman paborito ko patiently following the target and waiting para ma-isolate siya tapos bunot ng silenced pistol sabay headshot. Lakad na paalis as if nothing happened.

Ang dugas lang kasi para makuha yung Silent Assassin na rating dapat yata no gunshots fired kaya nakakatempt na magfiber wire nalang.

Favorite weapon ko dito ay fiber wire tsaka syringe.

Hitman: Absolution Details: Agent 47's Nemesis and More Revealed

The first solid details for Agent 47's next engagement have spilled onto the internet today, revealing Hitman: Absolution's villain Blake Dexter, his celebrity voice and confirmation of the return of 47's handler, Diana Burnwood.

Actor Keith Carradine will assume the role of Dexter and British actress Marsha Thomason will take over the role of Diana Burnwood from Vivienne McKee who provided her voice in the previous Hitman games. "Diana is 47′s only true human contact," Thomason told The Hollywood Reporter. "They’ve known each other an extremely long time, and in the Hitman world, she is what Q is to James Bond. So she sets the assignments, tells him where to go and who to kill."

"The character I play in Hitman: Absolution is as multidimensional as any well-imagined character should be," Keith Carradine said of 47's nemesis, Blake Dexter. "The vividness of the world entered by the gamer hinges on detail. To fully engage the attention of the player requires nothing less than the most completely realised universe of geography and personality."

Apparently, there is a host of other Hollywood stars set to lend their larynxes to Hitman: Absolution's cast, with IO Interactive enlisting more than a dozen noted actors for the game. The developer has captured a number of “complex scenes” with up to seven actors on set at one time, for inclusion in the game, hinting at some pretty dramatic scenes in store.

"We had actors like Marsha and Keith come in and do full-body acting with facial and voice being captured simultaneously in scenes," said the game's Director, Tore Blystad. "Some of these scenes were very complex with all kinds of props and interactions amongst the actors."

Hitman: Absolution is shining up its dual Silver Baller pistols for a 2012 release.
