Pinagamit sa akin ng friend ko account nya sa FFXI for just two weeks and alternating it with beta sa FFXIV para ma feel ko daw uli ang game and have a comment on its game mechanics.

FFXI, mabagal ang speed lalo na kung low level ka pa at being solo. But kung high level na with all the buffs, available meals and equipment, latent/hidden effects at yung kanilang augment system at many vs. many, di mo na mapapansin kung mabagal o mabalis sa dami ng nangyayari sa paligid.

With respect sa Beta speed of FFXIV game combat, can't compare this sa existing MMOs na nalaro ko. Dapat apple to apple comparison at solo play melee class at specific weapon sa isang MMO na parehas ng mechanics. You have to be focus dito. Overall solo play at low PL DoW (melee), mas mabilis siya sa FFXI. Pag Dom (magic users), parang di gaano pansin kasi, its up to the player when to cast spells. depends on the casting time and cooldown.

My kinalaman ang class mo sa distance mo sa mob, san ka dapat naka pwesto. May kinalaman kung saan mo dapat tamaan ang mob. Pag DoM, dapat alam mo kung AoE or cone type. Ang Battle Regimen nya ay mas pinalawak na Skillchain ng FFXI that can only be performed by a group. Di ko lang alam pa kung ang Magic Burts ay pede rin sa Battle Rgimen. Pag PT play din, di mo na mapansin kung mabagal o mabilis sa dami ng action na nangyayari.

Subukan sir kung kumukuha na order dyan sa Datablitz. Gamestop eh US base kaya mas mapapamahal at matatagalan ka pa. Playasia, usually late na sila sa release date kung magkaroon sila ng stock.

about Datablitz, I emailed them. Sabi nila kasama daw FFXIV sa upcoming games nila, but they're not sure if they'll have the game on release date. Wala pa rin sila pre-order program for FFXIV, as of the moment. May Gamestop sa phils, pero maliit lang. I'm not even sure if its the same store. Di pa sila nagrerespond sa email ko. Mukhang sa ngayon, sa PlayAsia ako mag order, pero minsan nga late na sila sa release date, but its waaay cheaper than using ebay/amazon. Other options?

any idea on the optimal PC specs for this game? passed ako sa required, but i want to experience the game to its fullest

Ano ba sir ang specs ng current set up mo? May na isuggest na specs sa previous pages na ma reach daw optimal sa low resolution 720p .Phenom II X3, Radeon 5770, at 3 GB of mem.

Recommended ng SE eh mataas ang specs (i7 at x58 chip, Nvidia GTS460 at 4GB mem). Sabi nga sa previous pages na hindi naman daw ganuon kaganda ang Graphics ng FFXIV pero ang taas ng PC Specs requirement. Sabi naman ng iba na baka daw may dahilan ang SE kung bakit ganuon kataas ang PC Specs rqmt.

Although self serving, may interview ang Intel Japan sa Devt team. Ask kung ano daw best para sa FFXIV sa PC, Devt team answered i7 X58 chipset. May benchmark na pinakita duon between i7 and other proc. May mga discussion din sa foreign sites na since sa recommended specs eh hindi nabangit ang AMD at ATI, lumlabas na ang game ay leaning towards sa intel at nvidia. Ito daw kasi ang closely working sa kanila. Kaya pala may certification pa sila sa page ng recommended PC specs requirement eh ganuon ata sa Japan.

HOPING na at least may mangilan ngilan na Pinoy residing here sa Pinas na mag play nito at mag kasama sama sa isang server.

Dont expect na magugustuhan agad ito ng mga nag lalaro ng WOW ( Walang JUMP, yun mga mahihilig mag tatalon kahit nakikipag usap or nasa loob ng sang crowded area) or any other PVP oriented MMO ( alang PK) at alang IMBA. ( Hybrid baka mag karoon), Although lagi sinsabi ng SE na leaning towards solo play ang game, sa kinalalabasan ng mga nag bebeta test na FFXI vets, achieving most of the things needs PT play, lots of legworks, understanding, respect and in depth know how.( FFXI-2) nga para sa kanila. Yung mga alang FFXI experience ay nangangapa since hindi sila sanay ng up to 20 % lang ang info at the rest eh player na mag discover. Sabi nga ng iba na they proly end up to PL 3 then quit the game.

Sa latest na pina test sa media, binigyan sila ng char na PL 40 at pinagawa ng isang leve that requires a full PT of 15 players ending in a complete wipe out. Pati yung 2 city eh pinakita na ang opening CS. Ito daw po ang maging cap ng open beta which will start sa September. The 2 other Citry states and its surrounding will be open na for testing.

Yun nga lang, pag NA or western media, mas prefer pa rin nila ang western style MMO compared sa FF Online kaya not that impressive sa kanila. Unang una iba ang control layout sa keyboard. mas maganda pa gamitin controller kaya yung mga sanay sa keyboard sa MMO eh nangangapa at minus point na agad sa kanila. ( same goes sa beta players)

Pero sa japanese media, iba ang FF online, this is their No.1 game sa MMO coz its their game. Pag pumunta ka daw sa mga bilihan ng PC, FFXIV benchmark ang pinpakita, pati ang result ay ipapaskil sa tabi ng PC for sale.

NA community expect ay 40JAP/40NA/20EURO share ng players sa 3 region like FFXI daw. but sabi naman ng mga NA players na residing sa JAP. japs are more atuned in playing this game than when FFXI was launched. Preorders of the game already reached 300K plus sa japan while sa NA ay nasa 100K plus pa lang.( no info on EURO)

There are many new screenies from the 2 city states taken from the PC built for media test which is the recommended specs for TWIMTBP. Sa taas ng specs ng PC version, maganda na ang quality ng nag labasang screenies. Meron pa rin mangilan ngilan ( always a critic pag FF na pinagusapan) na di na impress at ala ng nasabing kahit kapirasong aspect na maganda para sa game. Kaya ang sabi na lang sa kanila ng mga gustong maglaro ng game, na kung ayaw nyo sa features ng game eh wag nyo laruin. as simple as that.

Maganda naman sir yung mga bagong screen shots taken sa media test. Mas high quality na. Nakukuha pa bang criticize yun ng iba? Ala na lang siguro sir masabi yung mga ganong klaseng tao.

Ask ko lang po sa mga techie, nabasa ko po kasi na FFXIV daw ang bagong stress test ng mga GPU.Pumpalo daw po ng 90+ deg C ang temp ng recommended GPU na GTX460. What kung mas mababa ang specs ng GPU kesa sa recommended, uusok po ba yon? Sabi rin po na pag 2 cores processor, pumapalo din daw po ng almost 100% yung 2 core, pag 4 cores naman, 2 ay full at 2 ay more than half. Yung 6 cores daw po ng Intel eh 4 lang gumagana pero yung AMD eh lahat gumagana parang 4 cores ng Intel. Paano na kung 3 cores lang po?

Kung ang built ng PC eh nasa 3 cores lang at mas mababa ang GPU sa recommended na GTX 460. Tatagal po kaya yung kung masyado siya mag iinit?

yap, may nakita agad na bug ang devt team. mas gusto nga ng iba na bago mag wkend na mag start para daw mahaba haba ang playtime at ma decode/decipher na agad yung "surplus exp" by playing more than 8 hrs a day. Others naman ay na download na yung client at nag dat mining na.

and I forgot to mention that I might be starting a little bit late maybe around mid to late oct because I still need to do a complete overhaul of my pc maybe I could get some tips from computer savy guys who see this as of now Iam only using a 2.4 intel core 2 duo and a 1gigx2 ddr2 ram Iam not going to mention the vid card beacause what I have now is a total piece of crap ok so this is my plan for an upgrade I read somewhere that total gpu power is more important than the number of cores for this game correct me if iam wrong so Iam planning to get just an i5 but with a high GPU maybe like 3.something+
or maybe a 4.something if there is one hehe and 2gigx2 ddr3 ram is a 4gig ram ok or should I opt for 6gig's? and for the vid card a 4890 1gig ddr5 its kinda cheap now around 6k+ any comments or suggestion is highly appreciated thanks

If you have a limited budget just upgrade your ram to 2x2gb and get a graphics card like ATI 5770 because 4890 is already phased out and it consumes a lot of power. Also if you have knowledge on overclocking you might try to overclock your core2 processor to 3.5ghz. But if you do have a budget get atleast a quad core processor, 2x2gb ddr3 ram and an upper midend graphics card like ATi 5850 or GTX 460.
