Let's talk about anything about video games, no matter what platform it is. What is your favorite game? Who is your favorite character? What are the recently released games? What is DLC (downloadable content)? How do I beat this boss? How do I set up my team?
Another new developer is set to work Konami's storied horror franchise.
By Justin Haywald, 04/09/2010
At Konami's press event last night in San Francisco, the company closed the show with a brief glimpse at the next Silent Hill game. The short trailer was light on specifics: a blonde man sits on the edge of a bed holding his head in his hands. The world around him morphs into a dark, deserted road in front of a dilapidated gate. The man hears a sound, turns, sees nothing, then gets attacked by something from the darkness when he turns back.
Will it be another retelling a la the divisive Shattered Memories? An entirely new entry in the series? At this point we don't even have an official title, so it's all conjecture.
However, we do know the game is being developed by Vatra Games, the same company behind the upcoming Rush 'N Attack. While the trailer itself was devoid of any concrete details beyond "more to come at E3," the developer's website details the company's focus on "high-end action titles for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC," so it's safe to assume that the next Silent Hill will probably not be for Wii or one of the handheld platforms. And, well, there definitely won't be any music from long time series composer, Akira Yamaoka, but you already knew that.
A New Silent Hill Coming From A Brand New Developer
There's a new Silent Hill game in the works at a new developer and it's coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation and PC. Beyond that details on the next entry in Konami's psychological horror series are hazy. Wait, foggy.
According to 1UP, the next Silent Hill game is being developed by Czech studio Vatra Games, the third studio to take the series' development reins since 2004's Silent Hill 4: The Room. In the likely event that you've never heard of Vatra, the studio describes itself as "built from both industry veterans and new talent," lead by Matthew Seymour, formerly of Take-Two Interactive and Microsoft Game Studios
Another report from Joystiq implies that the game may be based on Silent Hill 2 and speculates that another re-imagining of a previous game—a la Silent Hill: Shattered Memories—could be in the works.
With Silent Hill vet Akira Yamaoka moving on to greener pastures at Grasshopper Manufacture and an all-new developer on the job, we'll be interested to see what Konami has to show at E3 this year.

sana kahit remake ng original Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2, the best yung sequel para sa akin.. memorable din yung mga characters like Eddie and Maria/Mary, saka yung finale..
worthy pa ba bilhin yung silent hill: homecoming??

sa current price ng Silent Hill: homecoming, I'd say it's worth it..
medyo nakakabitin saka di kasing helpless ng mga naunang characters ang bida dito pero marami paring takutan scenes.. tapos lagi pang madilim .. parang di yata nasikatan ng araw si alex dito eh..
