[OT] Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

500 years after the events of Final Fantasy XIII-2, all that's left of the world is the continent Nova Chrysalia. Time is running out however: there's just 13 days left.

Tasked by the Gods to save what's left of humanity, follow Lightning in these trying times as she once again crosses paths with both allies and enemies alike in the (hopefully) final tale of the Lightning saga!


THE CHARACTERS


LIGHTNING - Humanity's last hope, awoken from a long slumber of a few hundred years
SNOW VILLIERS - the world's last remaining l'Cie, the patron of Yusnaan
HOPE ESTHEIM - Lightning's trusted partner, mysteriously reverted back to being a kid
LUMINA - a mysterious girl stalking Lightning at every turn
NOEL KREISS - the young warrior that journeyed with Serah and Mog, now full of guilt
OERBA DIA VANILLE - one half of the pair that held Cocoon in it's place. The Saint of the Order.
OERBA YUN FANG - the other half of the pair that held Cocoon. Leader of the bandit gang Monoculus


NOVA CHRYSALIA


The last remaining continent, under the plague of the Chaos. Divided into 4 regions, yet connected by a single monorail system.

LUXERION - brutal murders and intrigue abound amidst the shadows of this medieval-looking area
DEAD DUNES - treasure lies beneath all the sand
YUSNAAN - a city of lights, sounds and festivities. Under the protection of Snow.
WILDLANDS - a vast area where chocobo and sheep roam. And Moogles, too.

GAMEPLAY AND FEATURES


Customize Lightning with a variety of different clothing and equippable skills!


Block, dodge and counter with precision with the revamped battle system!


Time might be running out, but you still have full control over what you can do in this constantly moving world!


ERADIA AND QUESTS
By clearing main and side quests, Lightning earns Eradia, which is used to extend the world's life span.

ENERGY POINTS AND ABILITIES
Saving the world is one extensive task, fortunately Lightning is equipped with various abilities ranging from Army of One to Chronostasis to aid her in her task. Abilities can be used by spending EP (Energy Points), which in turn can be earned by defeating the monsters plaguing Nova Chrysalia.

THE ARK
At the end of each day, Lightning returns to her "home base," The Ark. Here all gauges immediately replenish and Hope brings gifts from X-Potions to new garb.

LAST ONE
Lightning can acquire various bonuses by defeating the Last One (of the Species). Once the Last One has been defeated, that monster becomes extinct (until your next playthrough).

NEW GAME+
Did you end the game prematurely by getting a Game Over? Worry not, all items, stats and equips are carried over to your next playthrough! Clearing the game gives you access to higher difficulty settings for NG+!

Turns out na you can continue your save from that version to the English version! No need to start over!
